I met my boyfriend about a year and a half ago and like your average relationship, everything was great at first. However, he became distant when he came back home from a trip to see his family.
He's told me that he loves me dearly, but then I found out he's been on a dating website, which he denied. I later found out he was texting a girl from his hometown! He said he "deleted her because she was being suggestive."
A few months later, he started calling premium dating lines, and now I've found a thong not belonging to me in his bag. He's also constantly lying about texts!
I'm really confused and need a wake-up call....

you're all fucking wrong. he deleted the other girl from his phone, and the thong was probably just there from a long time ago, or maybe it's his sister's--i mean, he went to go see family, ffs. i come back with my sister's thong in my purse all the time. i usually store it in the same section i put my tampons and other feminine products in.

Yea, all that stuff would be confusing to me, too. I mean if I saw my boyfriend having sex with another girl, it would be less confusing...but then they could have slipped and fell. I mean it happens.
I always wonder if it was this obvious when my ex was cheating on me. I refuse to believe that if I had found a thong in his possession I would have stuck around. The moment I realized he was cheating on me, I changed my number (only because he threatened and harassed me upon realizing I knew), blocked him on Facebook, and haven't looked back since. Now he's with the girl he was cheating on me, engaged actually after only a few months, she did not heed my warnings, and my friends and I found him on a dating site a few days after his engagement.
When you get an inkling that someone is cheating on you, like a legitimate inkling and not just a crazy made up idea, you talk to that person about it and then depending on the outcome you leave very quickly. People only change when they're ready to, and he doesn't seem like he's ready to. In his case, at the moment, once a cheater always a cheater.

I actually read texts from my exes phone about cheating on me and then believed his lies and stayed with him for a while until we broke up, when I found out he had cheated on me again the night before we broke up.
