  • Love Life Getting You Down? Submit to Datingish!

Sometimes your limp sexual apparatus is indicative of the way your love life is progressing, and we're here to help (with the latter, at least). The community is here to provide you with helpful advice (most of the time!) and you'll have an outlet to vent anonymously if you so wish to remain unidentified.

While our relationships may often be full of complications, we learn and become stronger from them. If you have advice you'd like to impart on others from your own experience, we'd love to hear it and so would the community as a whole.

See any interesting studies recently? Write about it. Have you come across news articles regarding dating and relationships? Write about that, too.

Remember, you don't have to feel confined to specific topics; you can stretch the boundaries a bit and get wild! But not too wild because we don't want to become "Pornish" as some have lovingly called the site before.

We have plenty of articles from the perspective of women, but where are the men hiding? Guys, instead of arguing in the comments section, turn the pent-up male aggression into a post! Remember Mancouch? We want some of that edge here.

I hope you're all having a lovely October, and we wish you an early Happy Halloween!

    P.S.

If you end up with leftovers from your trick-or-treating, we'd love to have it. Yes, we've got sweet teeth by the hundreds.

No offense but I've seen plenty of posts from guys generalizing women all the time! That's what gets the comments section heated, lol because women are always the target of most generalizations.  Although I do agree, there needs to be more guy posts talking about their own individual relationships in a way that doesn't reveal the intimate details that should only be kept between the two people.

@xinq@xanga - "...because women are always the target of most generalizations."

    Wow... that's epic.

That pretty much demonstrates every relationship issue I've ever had. Followed by no reply, of course, unless it's something along the lines of "well you're not getting laid, by me at least" (http://youtu.be/mJCjfW0rDpg) and random personal insults.

i was gonna say that at our age, everyone only goes liquor-treating, but i forgot that liquor-treating is for the grown and sexy.  def not the d-ish crowd.  (except for yours truly, obvs.)

nunez (or whoever wrote this):  if i want to write something, do i have to publish it to my blog?  cause i kind of want to keep that shit to the current dorkfest it is, and not have anything too women-related in it.  this is a totally serious question/remark.  to be clear, i don't mind putting my name on it, obvs.

@TheNotoriousGOD@xanga - As far as I'm aware, you can just hit the "Submit A Post!" button at the top of the page, and use "Option 2: Submit the Post Directly" which circumvents the whole personal blog thing. You don't have to link to your own blog.

Oh, and if you want to write it on your own blog (without saving it, obviously) so you can use the writing tools for italicizing and all that fun stuff, you're also free to just copy/paste the HTML into "Body of Post" on "Option 2" so it's already personalized and using your own image of choice.

@AsylumBlue - awesome, thanks for the clarification.  hope all is well with you.

Girl: We're not compatible (usually after professing her undying love for me).

    Me: Yes, we are.

Girl: No we're not because I said we're not.

Me: Bitch, if that's the case you're not compatible with yourself because you said yourself we are.

Girl: Yeah, well I'm going to fuck someone else and you can't stop me.

    Me: Slut.

Girl: The guy I'm fucking now doesn't think I'm a slut and you're the one not getting laid so clearly you're the one who is wrong.

= Every relationship I've been in.

No need for a whole post when it can be summed up in a single comment.

@xinq@xanga - That is, an incredible lack of self-awareness projected onto me after calling her out for it, followed by me ultimately ending up with less than nothing, if you didn't get what I was referring to, because "...women are always the target of most generalizations." is, in itself, quite a massive fucking generalization that perfectly demonstrates what is essentially a gender-wide self-sabotaging victim complex.

there was a blog by a korean guy named jason(sn:buonglorno)...who wrote the most adorable dating posts about his crush on some hottie named lacy amongst other funny/cute stories. he stopped blogging/changed his sn since then, no guy on datingish has really won me over with his words

Pornish? Seriously? I have actually been very impressed by the types of posts that can be a little explicit but also maturely composed that Datingish is willing to feature. Of course there are always outliers when it comes to the range of maturity in comments; but for the most part the featured posts I have read that contain sexual content have been well written and thoughtful and in turn sparked some good conversations for me both online and off.

It is nice to be in a blogging community that has a reasonable filter on the items they share with readers, not too strict on their features but also will not re-post anything unreasonable. And lets face it, the only people who are down on discussing sex are just afraid of joining in themselves :)
