Well, happy belated birthday girl takes some advice after cooling down and apologizes and vocalizes her opinions to reveal very sad news. Clearly there would be other issues that I didn't include, but this takes the cake.
He explains why he never took me out.
"Friends of my ex live around town & would glare at us."
So?
"I met you while I was living with/dating her. We were still together for a month while we first started hanging out. I should have told you. That lotion you found under the bed was hers. I've felt guilty for months, but I really care about you."
Wow. Happy Birthday.
Thanks Xanga. Apologizing reveals the truth.
I totally understand why I would be called a bitch, but I guess I should have included finding girl stuff under the bed & such, among other little things. I just wanted to make it a little more open-ended/BLIND so others who just felt left out could see answers as well. The honesty is refreshing.

That's quite unfortunate. I have to say his reason is really lame, too. I can understand about the hiding part - he shouldn't have hid anything from you - but he shouldn't be hiding *you* either.
Hiding a new gf is pretty lame, but it depends on how serious him and his ex were, how much she still loves him, how old him and his ex are.
It's hard to see an ex with a new girlfriend, but it's a part of life and he should be a man and accept it
i still wouldn't consider these dealbreakers. why don't you continue to take everyone's advice and voice your opinions to him instead of complaining to us? (assuming you haven't done so already.)
p.s. thanks for the follow-up, i genuinely love it when people post sequels to their problems--unfortunately a somewhat rare occurrence around here.

Good excuses make great confessions.
what was it Chris Rock said? If you've been dating a man for four months and you haven't met any of his friends you are not his girlfriend.
@winterEnds@xanga - Oooh. Fun little Seinfeld rules!
What about the one that says to keep greeting cards for a minimum of 2 days (unless of course you have a mantle)?
@T3hZ10n@xanga - Well that's neither here nor there. The point is, if your significant other is hiding you, they probably aren't considering you as a girlfriend the way most people would want to be considered a girlfriend. They're probably being secretive for a reason. Point in case, he was hiding her because he was cheating on his last girlfriend.
@winterEnds@xanga -
No argument here. Your point may very well be a good one. I was just teasing its presentation.
Darius Stone: Wars come and go, but my soldiers stay eternal.
Agent Gibbons: I like that. Who said it? Jefferson? Patton?
Darius Stone: Tupac.

Well, nobody knew any of that last time. Yeah, his reasons are pathetic, but from the last post, I didn't see him missing your birthday as being a massive problem.
jooooocayyyy
it's obviously time for him to reveal you. birthday situation aside(i still stand by what i said in the prev comment), i'd feel like utter shit if my bf hid me from his friends/acquaintances/exes etc. He should man the fk up and not care so much about people who don't matter to him anymore.
brb being totez in love with current gf but won't reveal her because of ex gf ahaha, what a joke.
Sorry you got let down. That always sucks.
I am more concerned what you were doing around his bed before he even took you out. If I am reading this right, sounds like you were fooling around. Did you expect the guy you are fooling around with to be a gentlemen? Sry, I just dont get it. But maybe I am misreading "hanging out". If so, my bad.
Dump him.
