As if the walk of shame past a granny or two on a Saturday wasn't bad enough lasts night's bad decisions have become a bit more permanent ... thanks to social media. Classy men, from Brit reality series The Geordie Shore, have started a Twitter craze of uploading photos of their one night stands, while the poor girl's still asleep,
The Daily Mail reports.
Initially I thought it was kind of hilarious, till I remembered what I've looked like the morning after a mistake. I just remember waking up with what was originally a fake eyelash, but in the cold light of morning looked like my face's pet tarantula. At least in the
photo gallery the girls are relatively anonymous.
So what's your take on it? Harmless fun, totally degrading to your one night stand, or embarrassing for everyone involved?Image Source

Sure, a guy posts pictures of his one night stands WITHOUT COMPROMISING THEIR IDENTITIES, and of course everyone is quick to call him "disgusting" and "sick", and that he is an immature asshole. However, that one incident where a woman made a public Powerpoint detailing sexual information about the men WHICH INCLUDED THEIR NAMES AND FULL FLEDGED PICTURES, she is heralded as "defiant" and "hilarious", and apparently everyone should calm down and get a sense of humor.
To make things clear, I don't really condone/approve of either person's behavior, but the clear double standard sickens me.
Because invading someone's personal rights is just hilarious. Women are objects, let's laugh at them.
This is depressing.
Depends on the conditions that led up to the one night stand.
It things like this that makes me wonder if there are good guys out there.
Eh long as faces, any distinguishable physical features and names are left out then who cares. Poor decision of having a one night stand with someone you can't trust in the first place. Same would go if the girls were doing the same with sleeping guys.
I don't know you, but I'll hook up with you, then be all shocked when I find out you were only looking to score.
some people are just creepy shits. Sad truth. game plan...might be wiser not to do the whoopsy daisy with a stranger who's character and intentions are unknown. Few of us would give our car keys, credit cards, cat, etc to a stranger because we don't know if we can trust them. Hopping into bed with a stranger is similarly questionable.
@Asinine_Dreams@xanga - ha i totally forgot about that incident. you're right though. i'm disappointed that nobody else here agrees with you.
thus why having one night stands are for the lowest of the low and you can't expect the person to give a shit about you, so respect is out the window. they can pretty much do whatever they want because they aren't suppose to see you again, so they can take pics, steal your stuff, drug you, then kick your ass or whatever and you likely won't know what the hell happened until you find it online. these females actually trust the guys enough to sleep over and not expect the guy to do something to them, such as this let alone kill them!
I don't condone the behavior, but what do you really expect? Chivalry?
@Erika_Steele@xanga - Wouldn't you say, the woman, objectified herself enough when she made the decision to hop into bed with someone she didn't know, with all intent to have sex with a complete stranger?
Yet, when some schmuck decides to treat her how she just treated herself, he's a pig and objectifying her.
Just to be clear, I don't condone this behavior, on any level. But if you're going to hop into bed with some stranger, who could rob you, give you some disease or even take your life, what are you really expecting? You reap what you sew.
@Nubsauce345@xanga - No. I think agreeing to have sex with a stranger is agreeing to have sex with a stranger. It doesn't give anyone the right to take pictures, videotape, rob, maim or do anything else to the person that came home with them (unless of course they ask for it). Getting a disease (pregnant) from a one night stand has nothing to do with invading another person's rights.
hloooooooooo
@Asinine_Dreams@xanga - The big difference between the Duke girl incident and this is intention. The girl never meant to post her powerpoint to the public, it was leaked by her friends. She was ashamed of what happened and issued a public apology. Also, who said the incident was "defiant" or "hilarious"? Most people called her out for being a slut and she had to delete or block her social network profiles. These guys intentionally post these pics and are not sorry for them at all. It's definitely not the worst thing they can do, so "sick" might be a little heavy handed, but it is still tacky and douchey.
I think it is completely rude of anybody to do this to anybody else.
A one night stand does not mean giving up your right to privacy. Some people are pigs.
Its a shame that sex is no longer an enjoyable act but actually something that may end in a powerpoint, photo scandal, or should be considered shameful for women who decide to have one night stands. Talk about double standards.
Yes, people that you have one night stands with might not be classy or respectful. They might just be looking to get in your pants or have a story for their friends. This is shocking to whom?
Listen, Datingish.. I need a job. You obviously need an editor. See where I'm going with this?
@Asinine_Dreams@xanga - Agreed!
You can't even see their faces so it's whatever.
@Erika_Steele@xanga - it doesn't give them the right, but if someone plays with fire and gets burned, then don't be shocked
the thing is that you don't know and can't really control that the other person is possibly a psycho with bad intentions, so they have no right, but you can't really tell that to a psycho
@P0RCELA1N_D0LL@xanga - I never said I was shocked. There is nothing new about people doing this. No, you can't control the intentions of others and these women made a stupid choice. They are lucky they meet a douche instead of a psycho. It is still wrong to infringe on someone's rights whether they are stupid, immoral, skanky, or whatever else.
@Erika_Steele@xanga - I meant the people, who do these things on purpose shouldn't pretend to be shocked that pics leaked or whatever else, not that you're shocked. I'm mostly saying that I don't feel any sympathy if it happened to them. so yep, they deserved it if they are skanks, wrong or right
I can't really side with skanks whether they asked for it or not. skanks are my pet peeves.
I don't approve, but as long as no identifying features are shown on the girls, the guys are really only making themselves look like douchebags as far as I'm concerned.
One night stands don't make sense to me anyway, but maybe I value my "genetic line", and my body, more than other people do theirs.
@P0RCELA1N_D0LL@xanga - ROFL. I was going to say something about skanks (male or female) being your pet peeve but I didn't want to come off as offensive.
@Erika_Steele@xanga - now that you mention it to strike my curiosity, what were you going to say?
t...hat it isn't my business anyways what skanks do, so I don't have to worry about them, which I don't, but if I happen to read something about it, then I won't really be like...well, they're humans, too, and they make mistakes and have rights even if they do stupid stuff repeatedly?! or we should be more open minded that humans aren't meant to be monogamous and as long as they use protection
