What do these women have in common? They're all straight women who engaged in a girl-on-girl kiss at some point..and the guys loved it. Which I really just don't get.
I don't have anything against girl-on-girl kisses. Gay and making out with your girlfriend? BUG-ging? Girls experimenting with each other? Please, knock yourself out.
What I don't understand is why straight men are so fascinated by them. Guy-on-guy kisses don't turn me on. I don't really feel any different about boys kissing than I do about boy-girl or boy-boy kissing. Great for you and all, but I'd rather do than watch, you know?
In addition, many straight guys who I know that are turned on by girl-on-girl are actively grossed out by the thought of two men kissing in front of them. Which sounds pretty homophobic, for one thing. But if girl-on-girl is so hot, then shouldn't guy-on-guy be at the very least acceptable, even if it doesn't necessarily turn them on.
I've asked guys to explain the attraction of girl-on-girl, kissing and otherwise, to me. I've never received an actual answer. Mostly, they just go, "Um, I don't know. It's just hot."
Maybe this is explanationless, but I just don't get it. What's so hot about it?

This is easy enough to explain. If seeing one attractive person kiss is hot, seeing two attractive people kissing each other should compound the appeal in theory. It's kind of a "more is better" line of thinking. As for why some guys are grossed out by guy on guy kissing, I suspect the same principal applies but in reverse. Guys usually do not find other guys attractive so two guys kissing probably isn't that appealing to them. As for why women do not find guy on guy kissing appealing, I have no idea since I'm not a girl but it might just have to do with women not being as visual creatures as guys (generally speaking of course).
A lot of girls do find guy-on-guy kissing sexy: A huge proportion of gay romance stories, novels and comics are produced by women.
Indeed, it's not that hard to understand: For a straight man, women being sexual is hot. More women is, other things equal, more hot. Mutatis mutandis for other genders and sexual orientations.

if they're wearing clothes like in this example pic, it isn't hot. however, even if they have big boobies, I'd have to find them overall attractive, or else it'll gross me out. so ugly people of either gender making out doesn't appeal to me. I remember in high school, this geek couple wearing glasses would makeout during lunch time and it is often the nasty couples that makeout. I saw another couple on my college campus making out by the parking lot and ugh, ruin peoples' days. I find hot guys wearing loincloths hot, yet they don't wear them

It's hot, that's why. Some guys DON'T like it. Also, some girls like guy on guy kisses, so what's the big deal?
Girls like to say they do it for attention, but I guarantee you they mostly do it because they want to. If they don't want to think of themselves as being bi or gay.....they can say they wanted to get that guys attention and it justifies it for them.

I'm not a guy but if I was one I believe I'd be quite repelled by it, not repelled as I find it disgusting, but repelled as in "This girl is only interested in women, I'm a man, there is no chance for me in this game".

Call me "weird" but I actually don't care/notice. If two attractive girls were kissing, I'd probably throw a glance over, but I wouldn't be goggle-eyed or acting like "Holy shit that's hot." Doesn't really seem all that out of the ordinary to me.
Guess it depends more on whether it's just a kiss or full-on public face-eating. And that's only because I rarely see the latter; most people don't full on make-out in public* and when you do see it, you kind of do a double take.

The only thing I can understand about this is the fact that most men fantasize about having a threesome. A guy sees a hot girl and thinks about having sex with her. But a guy sees two hot girls and fantasizes having sex with both of them.
The funny part of this though is there aren't many guys who are actually going to get the threesome they want. Most guys have a hard enough time getting laid as it is.
