Mr. Darcy. Edward Cullen. Princess Leia.
For years, fangirls and boys have fantasized, both sexually and relationship-wise, about popular fictional characters. Mostly, these people are written off as crazy and obsessed, and sometimes they can be. That said, authors write fictional characters meaning for them to act like real people. Especially when you follow a lengthy series, it's not abnormal to fall just a little for a fictional character. So, of all those that you've come across,
what fictional character would you date?Pop culture is one of my great loves, so this is a tough question for me. I've always had a secret crush on Inuyasha, an anime character that's half-human, half-dog-demon. His inept way of showing that he's in love with the show's female lead is adorable, and he has dog ears, which would be awesome. But he's physically violent and extremely possessive, so I wouldn't want to date him.
I feel the same way about James Bond. He's played by a series of dashing British actors (although I don't see Daniel Craig's allure), and his gun-wielding and driving skills are hot. Then again, he's a spy, so he'd be a bit hard to date.
Out of fictional characters, I would be most likely to date Ron Weasley. First off, he's British, which makes any guy 10x hotter. Secondly, he's involved in super-dangerous things, but isn't at the center of them - which means it's hot, not that I'd worry about him all the time. Thirdly, he's loyal, amusing, and not afraid to argue. Sounds like my type of guy. (FYI, I'm Hermione in this scenario.)
Is this really nerdy? Probably. Is it fun anyway? Definitely.. And it's a great way to understand what's important to someone on a date.

The women I'm attracted to are adventures in themselves. So reality usually turns out better than fiction.
What ^ he said. :) Sometimes, I've come to learn with my husband, reality is much better than fiction.
But I get what you mean. I used to have huge crushes on book characters. ;)
I don't know about dating but I would totally kick it with the Greendale 7 from Community. I sometimes look at my friends and secretly pretend they are characters from that show.
Thor....
I remember when I was in teen wishing Stanton from the Daughter of the Moon series was real and single.
Damon Salvatore from the Vampire Diaries. Ian Somerhalder is a SEX god
Seth Cohen from The OC for suuure
Geeze I'd have to say the book characters of either fred, george or ronald weasly XD
TV series- Jake from Secret Circle. He was closer to being into evil/darker magic and he was pretty powerful or Callum from the same show, he was into Voodoo and darker magic and had the more "bad boy" image. Either one of them only as a fling because I don't think either could do the faithful relationship thing.
I'd want to date:
Jadzia Dax from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
River Tam from Firefly/Serenity (actually, half of the characters from Firefly)
Jin from Samurai Champloo, although Jin and Mugen are totally made for each other
Major Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell
Ginko from Mushi-Shi
Shaaki Ti or Plo Koon from Star Wars
Sean from The Big C
Dr. Park from House
prot from K-PAX
...and I'm sure there are others.
Gilbert Blythe.
@ilikesourskittles@xanga - Oh my gosh, yes!!!! I'm super excited that 1) someone else read that series and 2) they like Stanton!
@methodElevated@xanga - I would totally date River Tam as well. Or Dr. Bennett from Dollhouse.
I am SUPER in love with Henry DeTamble from The Time Traveler's Wife. I read it in 2006 and to this day, I am STILL upset with my friend for gifting it because (SPOILER) the ending is so tragic. I had to physically put the book down in the middle of reading it, cry my eyes out, before picking it back up and letting the cycle repeat itself. I almost stopped just so I didn't have to read about him dying.
@T0m03@xanga - They are awesome books, I remember I was obsessed!
Lisbeth fucking Salander. No one else.
@wyrdkismet@xanga - THIS.
I was enamored with Inuyasha for quite some time too, and probably way too many anime guys. I'll go with Charles from East by Edith Pattou. My favorite book! Mr. Darcy would work as well, though.
kahl drogo played by jason momoa. the way he talks in the show is like tarzan. he sounds silly but I'll tolerate it because he's a sexy warrior. kahl looks like an egyptian pirate. I like jack sparrow. I also like Imotep played by arnold vosloo. the way he summons the demons with the egyptian language or whatever language he is speaking is hot. so I might have a thing for foreign speaking guys in loin cloths
oh and The Rock, who played the scorpion king....so hot
me like tarzan man! aragorn played by viggo mortensen is sexy. all of them ooze masculinity
I was just looking up viggo to check the spelling of his name and browsed his pics. he resembles my guy. no wonder I'm attracted to my bf...he looks like a warrior from the b.c. era and has that fierce tarzan hunter look about him
Aladdin. Or Ron Weasley (well, moreso Rupert Grint coz he's super adorable!)
Ready...ok.
-Heathcliff - Wuthering Heights.
-Hatter - Alice (2009).
-Asher - Anita Blake series.
-Graverobber - Repo!
-The 10th Doctor - Dr. Who
-Xena - Xena Warrior Princess.
-Rumplestilitskin/Mr. Gold - Once Upon A Time.
-Jareth - Labyrinth.
-The Phantom - Phantom of the Opera (2005)
-Spencer Reid - Criminal Minds.
That's it...for now.
Erm....
Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII (and the rest of the FFVII compilation).
I'm going to be honest, I've felt attracted to some really strange fictional characters.. like huck finn, grendel (from the book grendel, not beowulf) and harry potter
i think when a book is written in first person from a male perspective i almost instantly get attracted to them because it's all of their thoughts/insecurities/fears/hopes and seeing people without all their walls up makes me attracted to them... even if they're fictional.
@HerCarelessWhispers@xanga - hell yes to Spencer Reid!!
If we're talking solely about physically attraction I'd go for Dan from Gossip Girl and Sherlock Holmes (preferably from the BBC series because HOT DAMN Benedict Cumberbatch...!) I recently realized that I have a habit of being drawn to characters who are ridiculously intelligent and/or talented at something; you know the ones with messed-up social skills who usually turn out to be a pain in the ass to date...
Sherlock Holmes, John Watson, Bender from the Breakfast Club, Seth Cohen and Charlie from Perks of Being a Wallflower.
Edward Cullen, InuYasha, Hiei, Yusuke, Kurama, Zero, Usui, Shane Collins, Henry Fitzroy....
^^ I love anime and fictional characters <3
@HerCarelessWhispers@xanga - lol! loving your choices!
