Don't get me wrong, I love sleeping with my girlfriend, but I can't have any part of her body touching me if I'm trying to sleep. I can't even sleep if we're lying face to face. I think it's because her eyes are touching me. We both have to turn our backs, which from an aerial view looks like a seriously pissed off sleeping arrangement.
So how do you sleep at night? My friend who has ADHD used to twitch and thrash around so much before he fell asleep that his girlfriend thought he was giving off "LEAVE NOW" signals. Which wasn't the case, he just doesn't like taking Adderal.
And Hollywood lies! Movies show couples falling asleep after hours of insane sex, and waking up cuddled together as if they've never even considered skin sleep phobia. Lucky so-and-sos.
And don't get me started on summer heat. I'd love to sleep-spoon, but I'd put money on waking up in a sweat swimmingly pool. It's just never going to happen for me. I need cotton in my life.
Surely I can't be the only person allergic to body pillows. How do you sleep when you share a bed? Can you fall asleep on top of your partner?

My girlfriend and I sleep in the nude. Not only that, but we put the air conditioning very low. Its a way for us to get all snuggle up with each other without feeling uncomfortable and all sweaty. The worst of it is our chihuahua, she basically freezes to death. So we give her a blanket and she sleeps under it all night.
I wish I had that problem.
I sleep with my back turned, and she does too. I like to touch her back with my back. lol. But I find it impossible to sleep while cuddling.
I can only do it on cold nights in the winter....otherwise, I get too sweaty & uncomfortable.
My fiance moves WAYYY too much. There's no way we could ever sleep-spoon. We try though.
We go to sleep cuddled. And I wake up in the middle of the night and ask him to cuddle with me, but it doesn't last very long unfortunately.
not if he's hairy. facing him while his tuft of chest hair moves around as I breathe*gag* or his chest hair rubbing against my back if he's holding me*shudder* if he doesn't shave his arm pits and he puts his arm over his head to relax, then his pits air out and the smell lingers towards my nose and disrupts my sleep
or his leg hair makes my hairless leg itchy while I lean my leg near his
however, if he's clean shaven and sexy, I'll be more likely to lay on top of him and rest comfortably
I'll be the spoon between the waxed warrior bods of jason momoa and dennis oh
but who wouldn't
having little to no body hair accentuates the muscular tone of the body. sweaty chest hair makes me cringe, because it looks soggy and since when is soggy sexy-ugh! but a sweaty hairless chest glistens and oozes sex appeal. hairless doesn't mean prepubescent or boyish(probably if he's skinny and has no muscles this might be the case) but I think a man can still look like a masculine tarzan with no body hair if he is tall and muscular like jason momoa
yes to tarzan body pillows
We can do it, but only if it is very cold in the room. We live actually live inside his place of employment, so we don't have to pay for our heating/cooling, so fortunately, it is rather cool in our room most of the time.
Ill admit though, it's very hard for both partners to fall asleep while cuddling... I totally understand if my bf cuddles and then turns over to sleep after awhile
We both toss and turn during our sleep but oddly enough, we find cuddling during sleep to work for us. When she turns her back on me, I naturally roll over to spoon her and vice versa. When we're both laying on our backs, she likes to throw her leg across my body (it's odd but I'm use to it.)
An odd side note, GF tells me that it helps her fall asleep when I rub her booty. Funny thing is that if she starts to toss and turn too much, I automatically start rubbing her butt without even waking up and she settles down...we're a weird couple.
We sleep with his arm around me, he either lays on his side facing me or on his back and I roll around in whatever position I please. Sometimes though I wake up and he is DRENCHED in sweat (while I'm actually chilly) which is pretty grody so I wiggle away lol.
Haha I love the picture.
Sometimes I can, sometimes I can't. But it's nice when I can :)
i can fall asleep cuddling, but i never wake up that way.
I can cuddle for a bit , but then I have to turn my back... I can only sleep on my right side. He spoons me for a bit while I have my back turned, then he turns on his back also. I wake up in the morning and I cuddle with him while he is still sleeping. I love sleeping and waking up next to my boyfriend! <3
Can't do it, too roasting and uncomfortable. I start to feel claustrophobic as little spoon, and I totally can't fall asleep as big spoon either. Cuddles first, then sleeping space.
My wife and I go back and forth between cuddling and separate. We normally separate because I get overheated, but when she's away from me she tosses and turns, so I eventually end up holding her in some way or another. I could never sleep on top of her, because she would most likely suffocate. Though she has slept on top of me several times.
I thought I was the only one with that issue. I don't have restless LEG syndrome, I have restless BODY syndrome. I move a lot when I'm sleeping and I feel like I'm being shoved off the bed when he's too close. I can't even let his pillow touch mine. I don't know why except I can't kiss anyone until I've either had a cigarette, ate or brushed my teeth because I'm so nervous with morning breath.
i love sleep-spooning with my boyfriend! of course we don't stay in that position the whole night, but the moments we do are very sweet. =]
NO..must be separated . don't like to be too hot when I sleep
I usually end up being "sandwiched" between my hubby and our 80lb pit bull. Luckily I'm "cold blooded" so I rarely overheat like that, and its pretty nice in the winter. I'll admit though, sometimes I just need my space.
I slept on my back with his arm around my body and I would hold his hand. So he was sleeping on his side.
I can do it if it's cold enough. However, I can't sleep at all if I'm being touched in the slightest if it's warm enough. I don't like overheating. Plus I just generally like my own space. We can do our cuddling in waking hours (once again, if it's not too hot out!).
I can only sleep if my boyfriend and I are touching in some way. It's the only way I feel safe.
@T3hZ10n@xanga - I wish my problem was that simple! I have night terrors and beat the ever living crap out of anyone I share a bed with. I've given black eyes
@Trueinnerbeauty@lovelyish - And even so, I wish I had that problem.
We do the goodnight kiss and roll away from each other like synchronized swimmers.
