After spending last week looking into a period fetish and another not too long ago about cannibalism, I had to bring it down a notch.
Plushophilia is a somewhat mainstream fetish as it's very closely related to the furry culture. The fetish is the sexual attraction to stuffed animals or plush toys. Who couldn't resist a giant, cuddly teddy bear, am I right?
Plushophiles do have a small sub-culture amongst the furry community, with many roleplaying scenarios and erotica dedicated to the fetish. Furries, as many would know, is the wildly popular fetish involving the dressing up as an animal. It is also very closely related to anime.
According to
Wikifur (yes, furries have their own wikipedia), some may even modify the toy or stuffed animal to receive sexual gratification from it. Such modification has caused a riff in the subculture, many believing that it brings about a negative stigma.

I've slept with a teddy bear my entire life, and I still do, the current one is a very expensive bear my S.O bought me almost 8 years ago.
I'm not attracted to my bear and I don't have sex with it, but I have been known to hold onto him while engaging in sex.

First of all, I am a furry myself. Being a furry does not mean you have sex with stuffed animals, find them appealing or have bestiality. There are people who do that sort of thing who are in the furry culture, but I don't appreciate how this seems like ALL furries do.

As a furry, i know this happens, and this article is pretty much accurate. Like they said, it's a SMALL SUBCULTURE that even has interest in plushies... And like i said- it's all accurate except:

1.) it's not s fetish (for everyone in the fandom) 2.) You do not have to dress up to be a furry.
The fandom is NOT based on pornography or fetishes. In reality, it's more about "If you were an animal.. what kinda of animal would you be? what colours would you have?" And playfully brings those thoughts to life with artwork, which you can draw or commission from artists online.
Also, in reality, only 13% of the fandom actually dresses in fursuits. And even then, only a small percentage of them actually have sex in fursuits.
What I'm trying to say- for most of us it's just for fun, but like with everything- there's gunna be some sick fucks who ruins the reputation for everyone else.
who cares if people have there fetishes so what let them be every ones diffrent not every one like what the other person likes
