Though the weather might not yet feel like spring for some (it's cold and rainy here in California), the season is just around the corner. Here is a list of cute date ideas for when the weather is just right and our hormones are beginning to bloom.
- Visit a zoo together. There's something romantic about innocent places that really brings out the intimacy of a relationship. What's more innocent than a zoo? Check out the lion's den. Admire the penguins. Reflect on which animal you'd want to be and why. End the afternoon with an ice cream or a light dinner.
- Visit a garden or flower market together. Most girls love flowers. I admit, I always slyly mention what my favorite ones are early on in a relationship. It's cute when you can tell they're making a mental note of it. Enjoying one another's company while walking around a botanical garden or flower market can be very lovely.
- Farmer's Markets will be back in full swing come spring and summer. Why not grab your SO and make a day out of one? Buy ingredients that you can cook up later--the window open, spring air filling the kitchen, fresh ingredients for you and your SO's favorite springtime meal.
- Maybe cooking isn't your thing, but a picnic might be. I had a date pack us a modest lunch and we ate sitting on the stage of an outside theater. Even though the sandwich was a simple turkey and cheese on white bread, I've never eaten a better sandwich.
- Okay, so not all guys will dig going to botanical gardens or farmer's markets. What about a baseball game? One of my favorite dates is going to a baseball game. It's relaxing and it's so hard not to get into it, whether you're a diehard fan or not.
What are some other cute spring dates that maybe you've been on or have always wanted to do?

Maybe I should try one of these :/ movies and dinner all the time do get kinda boring...
cute
whoa, i think you're the first intern who's not from the city.
oh Farmers Markets!! They are great fun for dates... Flea Markets are too =)
Picnics are great... (we usually cheat and pick up lunch at subway)
Spring is the perfect time to enjoy nature and great if you are an active person:
1. Tandem bike ride - Nothing like cruising around with your honey on a nice bike trail and enjoy the nature in bloom. Tandem bikes put you close together and makes the ride more intimate but if you think they're too difficult to ride, try a recumbent tandem trike (much harder to find though).
2. Hike - Strap on your boots and grab your water, the coastal trails are perfect for hiking in the Spring time. As an added romantic bonus, you can pack a light picnic and enjoy lunch together at the top of a sea cliff.
3. Natural Hot Springs - Check out where the nearest natural hot springs are via Google, pack your swimsuit and head out there for a sexy treat, nature style. Be warned that depending on where you live, these hot springs might be crowded or require a long hike to get to (i.e. Sykes Hot Springs in Big Sur, CA requires an 11 mile hike but worth it.) Any date that lets you cuddle up to your sweetie while being half naked is a win in my book.
Skeet shooting. Nothing like bonding over a few well-aimed rounds of birdshot and some broken clays.
@TheNotoriousGOD@xanga - I definitely miss the City, though!
I love the thought of the farmer's markets, zoo and museums. Not too much the baseball games, sports fans in my neck of the woods are brutal.
I love flower gardens and museums!
I love going to the lake.
I love these ideas! Another fun one is hiking. My boyfriend is going camping with the boys for spring break, so one of my best friends and I are visiting the Oregon Zoo together. Can't wait! Also walking the streets of Portland and rummaging some vintage shops. c:
@brittmichele - oh jesus, you took a full-time job there? good luck haha. i couldn't move back east fast enough after i graduated.
if only my boyfriend didnt have work on weekends :(
