Loving the Beatles

A while ago, I wrote a post about some of my favorite love songs and I got some serious negative feedback regarding the fact that I included no songs by the Beatles. I love the Beatles. They just didn't make my top 20. As an apology to John, George, Paul and Ringo, I listened to all 182 Beatles songs I have in my iTunes library. These are my favorite Beatles love songs (in no such order):
1. "Oh! Darling" from Abbey Road (1969)
2. "What You're Doing" from Beatles for Sale (1964)
3. "If I Fell" from A Hard Day's Night (1964)
4. "I've Just Seen a Face" from Help! (1965)
5. "I Need You" - Help! (1965)
6. "I Saw Her Standing There" - Please Please Me (1963)
7. "P.S. I Love You" - Please Please Me (1963)
8. "Girl" - Rubber Soul (1965)
9. "When I'm Sixty-Four" - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967)
10. "Julia" - White Album or The Beatles (1968)
11. "All My Loving" - With the Beatles (1963)
12. "Hold Me Tight" - With the Beatles (1963)
13. "You've Really Got a Hold on Me" - With the Beatles (1963)
These songs are not necessarily all part of my favorite Beatles songs, but they are certainly the ones I find most romantic.
What are your favorite Beatles love songs? What are your favorite love songs in general?

You DIDN'T!
I like "Strawberry Fields Forever," and "I Am the Walrus."
Oh! Darling - is my fave too <3
Strawberry Fields Forever and Hey, Jude are my favourites. But I like... pretty much all of them.
I like the Beatles, but I barely listen to them.
My favorite love songs are
- Heaven Here by Dashboard Confessional- I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz
- Clever Love by Angels and Airwaves- Angel by Jack Johnsonand any others in those categories.
"All You Need Is Love" and "Across the Universe" are probably by favorites. I dunno - I'm a sucker for that dreamer stuff.
However, if you want a real love song, Bowie's "Drive-in Saturday" is what you want. It's a song about trying to remember how to have sex after the apocalypse (by looking at old pornos, naturally). I'm only half kidding when I say that it's a great love song. At the very least, it's classic Bowie.
Too many songs!
I like "When I'm 64"
martha my dear
Favorite Beatles songs: Dear Prudence, Blackbird, Tomorrow Never Knows, Taxman, Norwegian Wood, Oh! Darling, Come Together, While My Guitar Gently Weeps...
Favorite Romantic Beatles songs: Something, Michelle, If I Fell, When I'm 64, All My Loving, And I Love Her, Here, there and Everywhere, I could go on and on.
I think the shorter and easier to compile list would be which are their bad songs. They have so few.
One of my recent favorites: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bw8NSBttYz4
I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Eight Days a Week.
I would definitely add "Something" to this list. :) And "The Long and Winding Road".

Helter Skelter
In General :
I Use To Love Her But I Had To Kill Her....Guns and Roses
Love Stinks....J. Geils Band
Love Hurts...Roy Orbison/Nazareth.
"If I Fell" by The Beatles...is not really a love song...it is a cheating song...if you listen to the lyrics closely you will realize that the male character in the song is actually cheating on his girlfriend with the girl that he is falling in love with so actually it might qualify as a "break-up" song. John Lennon wrote a very clever song when he wrote this....I think it was Lennon that wroto it I believe...and it is similiar to "Norwegian Wood" in the sense that he is writing a love song to the other woman in his life. Quite clever. Except for "Norwegian Wood" was taking place in his "real life" at the time he penned and I don't think "If I Fell"
You can tell that I have been seriously addicted since my childhood...LOL...
probably not love song
but here comes the sun :D
And I love her, All my loving, It won't be long, In my life :) Along with many many more. Definite favorites.
I was named after the song Julia..I love it!
