Justin Bieber Gets Married?
People can get creative on Valentine's Day to show their appreciation to a special someone. I can understand that. But what I can't understand is how this guy has the gall to marry a little girl with terminal cancer? Spending the day with someone that admires you can make that person extremely happy...but marry them? The little girl got a consent from her parents and everything to allow the marriage between her and the young celebrity.
What does this mean? Is Marriage becoming a circus? A frantic publicity stunt?
First of all, by knowing this I can say one thing for certain...the meaning of marriage has lost its value. Something that should be serious and sacred should actually...well, be SERIOUS! I think that what he's done is cruel because he's practically saying "I have no problem marrying a total stranger who's dying because in the end they'll die and I can get more fame for this "act of love." What ever happened to marrying for love?
This is by far the must revolting publicity stunt any celebrity could ever do. Why not just spend three days with the girl and take her whereever she wants to go and share your time with her, I think that's more reasonable. But by marrying her, this is just sending a huge negative message. "Marriage is just a word and has no meaning." Frankly, he's toying with the little girl's emotions.
I'm all for making people and children happy. But I don't agree with playing them like this. And I know that there will be a great number of Bieber fans that will read this post and insult me by commenting for the sake of defending their "idol," but that's freedom of speech I suppose and I think that everyone is free to just say what they want and what they mean even if it doesn't make any sense. But before you comment, think about it; "He just married a little girl that will die soon...usually one would think twice before getting married to anyone especially if there's no love involved. And yet here comes this celebrity who actually marries a little girl with no problem at all because in the end he'll end up being a widow."
Ladies and gentlemen, this is mocking a sacred bond between two humans that actually love each other and are willing to spend the rest of their lives together and face any situation, together. In sickness and in health.
Enough said.
What do you think? Do you agree with what he's done? Should marriage be taken more seriously?

I looked it up. Not married, it's just pretend.
Biebs-Love<3
Wait...I'm not trying to be crass...but that picture is of him? I...thought it was of some very femenine/slightly boyish fan.
Oh...he married?
Big ethical whoop in consideration to what's gonig on in the world.
First off; he didn't marry her. He went on a date with her.
Secondly, I hate Justin Bieber. His music is whiny and annoying. It's also so insanely catchy that despite how much I detest his prepubescent voice, his songs get stuck in my head for days.
And you know what? If I have kids, I'm ok with them seeing him as a role model. He's a clean kid. He believes in God, he doesn't swear, he isn't a pervert, he doesn't sing about drugs and alcohol. I'd be alright with my six year old idolizing him. It's better than kids seeing people like Miley Cyrus as role models.
Justin Bieber might be annoying to people like us, but he's honestly the best celebrity role model that pre teen girls have these days.
But then, I remembered you were talking about Justin Bieber.
First of all, Do some blasted research.
Secondly, that poor child has TERMINAL cancer. Huge props to Justin for reaching out to her and making one of her dreams come true. After everything a cancer patient has to go through that young girl deserved a day like this.
and what @smgcrossfire@xanga said. (except I don't hate JB.. Im pretty proud he is Canadian)
So. What actually happened was that some nurses threw her a pretend wedding a while ago while she was in the hospital. Her pretend husband was a cardboard cutout of Justin Bieber.
You know, when I was 5, I was pretty certain that I was going to marry my first cousin. There are things that you just don't get when you're that young, but decent people just chuckle instead of going all angry about it.
So he played along, and thrilled her little heart to pieces. This makes him a bad guy? Humoring a little girl?
I think it's nice of him. And I think that you should probably research a little more thoroughly before you get all up in arms about how the sanctity of marriage is being destroyed by Justin Bieber and a 6 year old cancer patient.
And to answer your question, is marriage being used for publicity- yes, among lots of celebrities. And there are a million other reasons that people get married, not all of them to do with love.
@i_start_the_rumors@xanga - amen
I may just have to add I'm willing to bet that the people who bash the Biebs for pretend marriage are those kids when they were 12-years-old making a pretend marriage pact with their elementary school yard crushes.
Way to take this WAY too seriously. It's fake.
I think it's a sweet thing to pretend to do for her. But I guess hater gon' hate.
I don't even like Justin Bieber but I'm not going to bash him for making that dying little girl feel like the luckiest girl in the world for the rest of her time here on Earth.
What is the point of this post?
"...that's freedom of speech I suppose and I think that everyone is free to
just say what they want and what they mean even if it doesn't make any
sense."
Your post, for example?
Uhhh who cares? I mean seriously, at least in my opinion. This little girl is suffering and soon will be gone. I think the ONLY thing that matters at this point is her happiness. Please let her have that if anything else for her last days. I have gained a TON of respect for Bieber for doing this.
lol this is funny. Clever post. :)
@QuantumStorm@xanga - I'm just saying what was presented in the news on the television. And they did say that the parents of the little girl did give permission to allow a real marriage between the two. Regardless of how misinformed it may be, this is just an example of how the meaning of marriage can be easily mocked by celebrities that practically run our "society" now days. It's just something to think about because it is happening in our society.
@Orlei@xanga - Not everything depicted on TV is accurate.
"And they did say that the parents of the little girl did give permission to allow a real marriage between the two."
Where? And do you have any proof that they were serious when they said that?

How is a pretend marriage with a child dying of cancer, proof of how marriage is being devalued? Children engage in play-acting ALL THE TIME. If you think marriage is so fragile that it can be maligned by a dying child's pretend ceremony, well...
Cuse celebrities can't possibly have good hearts at all, they all do incredibly nice things for attention(sarcasm). You're an idiot.
@QuantumStorm@xanga - Well if it was pretend then this was cute and you know what I was willing to believe that the marriage was fake to begin with. Only cause what kind of parent will give consent to allow their little girl to marry? Also when I was that age any "marriage" I had were fake.
BTW I agree with you this post should be deleted because all the information isn't accurate.
I hope she signed a pre-nup.
fans will be jealous... always. Poor girl.
I don't this is real or we'd hear about it in actual outlets of journalism and pseudojournalism that are a bit better than Lovelyish.
I've seen so many fake stories on Xanga lately. Like the Japanese poop meat one. Really? At least run a quick Google search if you know you're gonna be on the front page.
this was a joke right?
Hey, dumbass, he PRETEND married her. Learn to read your fucking sources. Also, cite them. And don't even try the 'Durrrr it's not serious hurrrr' bit, because no one in their right goddamn mind is going to buy that pathetic attempt to salvage your 'journalistic integrity', but let's face it, you don't have any after posting this.
Goddamn, why the fuck do you people not check your sources before you post this bullshit?
This ... is ... :O
