Chemistry
They say there are reasons why things happen the way they do and that the people who come in and out of your life play a certain role. Some may stay forever, some are just there for a season. In this case, the seasons turned into years and as they come and go, so does he. He comes in and out of my thoughts as I insist on keeping him at a distance.
Timing wasn't right. Distance wasn't right. Circumstances weren't right. Maybe that's a sign that there's nothing more to it than a mere coincidence that we met at that time, in that place, under those circumstances. Nothing more to it...right?
Then how come all this time, distance, and circumstances haven't kept us apart for longer? How come the chemistry is still there?
Recently, I caught myself watching his moves, his smiles. He is the only man that’s made me conscious about my demeanor, and I find myself blushing when he looks at me. I couldn’t even keep eye contact with him for too long before I start feeling uncomfortably shy. Me, the outgoing girl that’s full of life, shy? After all these years, he still has that effect on me.
Blasted chemistry.

Cool story, bro.
I am a firm believer that you can sort of trick your mind into liking someone or falling for them. And you can easily force yourself to stop liking someone once you get to know them and if they change their personality in a bad way. When all is said and done and the first few weeks of blissful romance falls to the wayside and the real person comes through, their faults and shortcomings, you need to ask yourself again. Do you still like this person for everything they encompass? People really put on a image and their best foot forward in the first few encounters but in the end, when you REALLY get to know the real them, everything changes.
chemistry :)
@sleeping_on_the_edgeoftheworld@xanga -Yes, this.
True that. My first love and I had this for years and years... since 2004. Sexual chemistry. We could not see each other for a year or two and when we got close, it was as if a day hadn't passed since we last saw each other. Though, now... I dunno if it would still be there. I fell in love deeper with this guy I am with now, whose love supercedes my first loves. So I can't imagine wanting that ex of mine now in any way, shape, or form. =)
"we have chemistry but..."
also known as how to get subtly turned down.
Ah, chemistry. A polite and vacuous way of expressing our feeling that we'd like to make babies with another person.
My life story.
I've felt like a shy schoolgirl towards my boss, who looks like a super model
I don't think it is chemistry since I barely got to talk to him, but the few words that he has spoken to me makes think...why is he so sexy
too bad he's married with kids. ruined my lusty moment:P
I love. This is exactly how i feel when I'm around him.
Love this post, exactly how I feel about someone, but maybe that's part of the beauty of platonic relationships?
just bc some things aren't right doesn't mean that the chemistry has to go away too. there are just some things in like that even though everything is going wrong, it still feels right.
what a riveting tale, tell it again.
