5 Must-See Marriage Proposals of 2011
I hate to admit it, but I am a sucker for these elaborate marriage proposal videos. I just love the idea of being able to capture such a memorable moment in a relationship to keep forever and to share with others. I definitely give a lot of credit to these couples for their very public display of engagement. That being said, I am dreading the day I ever have to propose to a girl who has seen one of these. Either I'm going to have to start stocking up on puppies, fireworks, shooting stars, and a team of videographers, or I'm going to be a huge let down for the infamous, "So, how did he propose?" question.
This one isn't exactly a marriage proposal, but still, a 'Surprise Wedding'?! Would you ever try to pull this off?
P.s. I can't wait until it's the ladies' turn to produce their much anticipated, "Surprise! I'm Pregnant!" viral videos. That'll be a crowd-pleaser, for sure.

Aw cute! I've seen the one at UCLA and the "greatest marriage proposal" too. It always makes me smile to see the look on the girls' faces when they see their boyfriends surprising them!

I cried.
Lee played "hot or cold" with me until I found my ring in our bedroom. It took like 2 hours and after I finally found it he got on his knee and said some mushy stuff. I cried like a cheese ball. Here we are married almost 6 years later and I haven't killed him yet hahaha.
To be honest, I would NOT want my boyfriend to propose to me like any of those videos, although they are extremely cute and made me tear up.
I would just want him to just simply ask and that would be enough. I would hate if he did something so big and flashy. :\
My high school bio teacher is very much an outdoorsy guy, so he went on a backpacking trip in the winter, feigned an injury, and had to be air lifted out with his (then) girlfriend. Little did she know that he had dug the words "MARRY ME?" in the snow prior, filled the grooves with woodchips and lighter fluid, and then had someone set them on fire when they were up in the helicopter. True story. Top that!
Also, that second video was adorable. :)
Haha, I know a guy who is a cop and has his buddies pull his (now) wife over and then say there was a warrant for her arrest. He proposed in holding!!! I'm not sure if I would have said yes!

I love the hydrangea video...I just wish that he would have planted REAL hydrangea bushes so that they would actually live and they could see them in the future.
If my boyfriend threw me a surprise wedding I'd be pretty upset, to be honest. Also, I'm not one for such public affairs. Ideally, the proposal would be an intimate one between just us two. But then again, I my actually like the public proposal. Who knows.
They were all so cute, so well thought out, and so meaningful to each other. I can't wait to see what my boyfriend has planned for his proposal. I can tell you that it won't be nearly as big as all of these, but it will mean something to both of us. He's already told me that.

I would love something like this, it is very much my personality, but I would like to be aware to dress nice at least lol. I'm often found in workout gear (I do marketing for a gym, so who needs to wear fancy clothes?)
