1. Understand that you're not a morning person and don't really like to be woken up by texts, no matter who they are from.
2. Respect your work/school schedule enough to not call you in the middle of the day when things are uber busy.
3. Hang out with you at home but still respects your male-bonding sessions.
4. Gladly partake in your video game sessions, or at least not incessantly whine about your hobbies.
5. Take YOU out for dates any day of the week. After all, it's the 21st century. Gender equality goes both ways... right?
6. Make time for you after she's made time for herself. A woman with a healthy understanding of her needs is more valuable and attractive than a woman who latches onto you like a Hirudo Medicinalis (that's a leech, for those of you who are uncultured savages) and never... lets... go.
7. Introduce you to her friends and family... OH and makes it Facebook official. Big plus there.
8. Tell the truth... any kind of truth... at all.
9. Do something nice for you when there's no special occasion, like making sandwiches. Wait, isn't that already mandatory...?
10. Send you new parts for that manly hobby project you've been working on in your garage, be it a bike, a car, or a home-made nuclear fusion reactor, like this guy:

Just kidding, I was mocking the losers from the other post who have only been with lames. But I could definitely do all of these things, no problem.
Don't settle but don't have so high of expectations that a girl who needs a soundboard once in a while turns you off. It goes both ways. I need advice just as often as I need to just vent sometimes. (This goes for all the rules, not just the one)
I hear ya on some of these, but this is not a category with which one should generalize too much (you wrote this in a lighthearted tone, so it works). My list bares some similarities to yours but is overall very different, and there are definitely some qualities, behaviors, gestures, you wrote that I flat out do nooooot want in a girlfriend. That said, thanks for posting this as I think Datingish (and some of the people who write for it) have a way of distorting the picture when it comes to gender-difference and it doesn't translate to reality very well. The war of the sexes is the most idiotic war in the history of mankind. It's literally just people getting angry at one another because they want to have sex with each other!

Doesn't sounds that sappy to me. For me, it is mostly this, but I admittedly love it when a girl pursues me or chases after me (to an extent). Overall your list is different than mine would be since I find real joy in getting a lot of attention from a girl (as long as it isn't overwhelmingly extreme... in which case I might even still find it attractive but it's just not a good idea). The importance of balance here is viiiiiiiital.
I think it's a good idea for every couple to talk (it doesn't have to be super-serious, it can be as casual as you'd like) about what they want from one another and the relationship itself... Although often when people do that they later use what they have said in this talk for leverage inside a relationship or as talking points when you bicker/get into a fight. So much of what relationships are about (besides, passion, lust, attraction, attachment, etc) is balance and compromise. So much is on balance, but often the best way to approach this is by just relaxing about things while acknowledging and communicating what you want.
Fun to read another guy's list. I've written things like this before, but in reality, lists don't tend to matter much and you will find that you will readily throw some or all of these things if you meet a girl you have a great bond with, and the same goes for women.
#16 is my FAV! If my boyfriend speaks nerd to me by telling me all the stats of his level 30 sharpshooter in Dragon Nest, I get all warm and fuzzy inside. xD
Even though it is a half-joke reply to the previous post, it is mostly true. I think the other list is mostly true too. It's not about a guy or girl HAVING to do those kinds of things for each other, but loving you enough to do those kinds of things, even if any of them might be out of character.
