As a Pansexual, I tend to view each person as the same. To me, people are simply people, other humans like myself. To give a more detailed definition of Pansexual I'll simply state it as simply and bluntly as possible. Being a Pansexual does not mean you are just bisexual. It means you do not find others physically attractive. It doesn't mean you have a low libido or desire. It means it's all based on emotional connection. In short, the Pansexuals are a gray area in the human orientation. We're much less likely to be shallow.
But, as all humans are, certain things intrigue us. For example, some people are more interested in literature, and others in drama. Same can be said for every orientation. Personally, my favorite thing is to learn about others, so naturally, something uncommon to me sparks my interest. It's not about skin tone, body type, or trying to find a Kim K or Nadal look-alike.
It's the culture that really has my attention. Let's face it. Most white people are boring. Yeah, I said it. It's not like I'm racist against my own race. I simply know what to expect. But from a person with a different background, there is a lot more I could learn. It's unpredictable, unusual, intriguing, and if I like the person, yeah, it can be sexy.
Opposites do attract, we're all like magnets. If things are too close, too similar, it's bound to cause you to lose interest at some point. I am also very attracted to quiet introverted people. I'm an extrovert. Other extroverts piss me off. They never shut up, or stop showing off. Besides, everyone knows how fun it is to shake that quiet person out of their shell. ;)
What about you? What is a key interest to you in terms of other people?

Don't place everyone in one giant group. It is the individual, not the race as whole, that would be boring.
Everyone has different quirks and qualities that attract others: music, sports, conversation, whatever. I don't believe it is just pansexual thing; everyone has a certain type of person they are looking for.
Everyone has an ethnicity.
ew, ethnics are gross. only white people who have no accent should be allowed to procreate.
I don't think all people should be grouped together, especially when it comes to someone's preference of an ideal type of person he/she is romantically linked to. I'm sure you're only saying you like "ethnic" people because of your appreciate of attributes associated with them, ones not typically associated with Caucasians. Physical attractiveness is subjective, just how some people prefer to look at buttocks over legs, others stomachs or breasts, etc.
>We're much less likely to be shallow.
Just alienated all your audience
"I drive a Prius because I care about the environment...K thannnnnkkkss!"
ethnic? what is that even mean?
sorry you've met some boring european-american people, i guess?
I think it's interesting that this blog contains the claim that you're much less likely to be shallow, and then you make sweeping generalizations based on race and ethnic group.Just because you say you're not racist, doesn't mean you're actually not racist.

@WaitingToShrug@xanga - Hahahhaa I love notracistbut!
Awwww, thank you! No, seriously though, I think you just want something different; that's okay, but don't just date non-whites because you want something different, just date them because you like them.
Now how did this turn into a race debate? All I said was I liked to learn and experience something much different than I'm used to, another culture especially. I thought people would appreciate this post, as being one of those rare ones that doesn't include OMG HE'S CHEATING ON ME. Or How to give head 101.
Yes boring Whites. Shakespeare, Homer, Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Galileo, Classical Music, Ballet, That silly time when our people built space shuttles and went to the moon, gosh were so dull as a people
@theflowerstem@xanga - I wasn't saying I was only interested in ethnic people. I'm wondering if pleading my case is even worth it at this point. =/ Trolls will be trolls.
@PrincessPatriotII@xanga - I whole heartedly agree. Thank you for paying your attention to it.
it's your preference.
everyone has an ethnicity.
the title is misleading, but the post itself is interesting.
as far as what attracts me, i prefer men that are physically fit (not nessaraily muscular), who have good hygeine, and who can make me laugh :)
Ummm, everybody has an ethnicity, the title doesn't make sense to me.
This whole post just kind of bugs me because this person should have left race THE FUCK OUT OF IT.
Why do people always have to bring race into it?!
Why not just leave it at the part where you say you're interested in CULTURE, which is by far more freaking accurate because, say I'm an Indian but I'm born in America, well guess what, my RACE is Indian, but my CULTURE is American.. and vice versa, if I was a White person raised in India, my RACE would be White but my CULTURE would be Indian. (And apparently I would still be boring based on my whiteness LOL)
(And on and on with different examples.. you get the point, I hope)
And then somebody (@WaitingToShrug@xanga - ) already said what I was going to say next about the racism in the post (White people are boring.. BUT I'M NOT RACEEST OR ANEETHING, NO NO OF COURSE NOT)
I suppose if it was LOOKS the person was referring to it wouldn't be racist, because if you think White skin is boring well then okay, whatever, but they stated that wasn't the case sooo.. whoops-a-daisy!
I'm asian and I can't stand asians with accents or fobs. there I said it
I liked your post and didnt find it racist at all. I understand what youre trying to say and can relate. Im white..have never dated a white guy. I have a thing for guys with brown skin. Especially East Indian guys:) Just my personal preference.
@IniquitousxAffliction@xanga - Your post gave me that impression that you had a craving for something different and ethnic people are very different from yourself, so I wasn't trolling I was responding to your topic. I think you should plead your case because a lot of people that commented are getting a different vibe than what you supposedly ment.
Also, you haven't mentioned what cultures you found interesting. I don't like it when people have a fetish or "thing" for someone, it's almost like it's a trend until you find yourself.
@krystal_keepsake@xanga - That's not really a "culture", a culture is something like: German, Russian, etc. Go look it up. You just named a list of white inventors, which isn't white culture. Those peole belongto specific thnic groups (British, French) and don't really count for American whites.
@theflowerstem@xanga - I'm always interested in something that's a complete 180 to what I'm used to. So it's not just people, it's everything, and ah well. I didn't pay much attention to the angry comments. Most of the time people write them because they are angry or upset with their own lives. I actually thought it was kind of funny. It was like that one ep of family guy when quagmire goes off on Brian and makes him cry. I could forgive it all Brian, all of it if you weren't such a bore. A big sad alcoholic bore. Thanks for the fucking steak. *walks out* XD @Ayshren29@xanga - I would love to go to India. I think that would be so cool there. There's this one religion there, can't remember the name but it's fundamentals are being kind to others, and helping others. I think a lot of people could learn from that perspective. Have you ever been to some foriegn place?
@theflowerstem@xanga - I like asian, arabic, and smaller cultures, cut off from the word even. Like people that still truly live off the land, in desolate locations. I think their ties as a family dynamic are just amazing. In the modern world it's so easy to lose sight of what's important.
@IniquitousxAffliction@xanga - Im actually married to an Indian, but have never been to India. Sad I
know:( Some of the main religions in India are...Hinduism, Islam,
Sikhism, Jainism, Christianity and Buddhism. Sure its one of those you are thinking of.
@Ayshren29@xanga - Sweet. Maybe ask him see if he knows what I'm talking about? I know they do this thing in this one temple and give people food everyday. I'm terrible with names dates and places. God this is going to bother me like that time I forgot Sarah Jessica Parker's name and woke up and shouted it at 3 am.
@IniquitousxAffliction@xanga - I believe you are talking about the Sikh temple. They serve food twice a day 7 days a week..and anyone can go there for a free meal.
