The Best Choice of Love Song
The first time I heard "Yellow" by Coldplay, I was at dance rehearsal. Our director told us to improvise after listening to the first verse and chorus of the song. The first thing that came to my mind was that I just heard the most beautiful love song ever.
Before I start improvising in dance, I always try to think of a story I'm trying to portray, and let my body to the rest. I listened to the first few seconds of the song:
Look at the stars,
Look how they shine for you,
And everything you do,
Yeah, they were all yellow.
I came along,
I wrote a song for you,
And all the things you do,

And it was called "Yellow"I tried to be "Yellow," which to me meant the warmth I felt when I knew I was starting to love someone. It meant fondness and happiness, because I always thought that if smiling and laughter could boil down to a color, it would be yellow. And that the writer of "Yellow" felt so much of this, and could only sum everything up into a color.
(I have also read that this could be about a drug addiction, but I'd like to think it's actually a love song!)

Ellie Goulding's cover of Your Song... It brought me to tears the first time I heard it.
Yellow is the song I sing while I'm peeing...
Phil Collins "In the Air Tonight" "Against All Odds" "Groovy Kind of Love" and the "You'll Be In My Heart" song from the Tarzan soundtrack made me teary eyed*sniffles*
I like Brighter Than Sunshine by Aqualung and Baby I'm Yours by the Arctic Monkeys!
I find virtually no one more romantic than Damien Rice. Blowers Daughter, Cannonball, etc.
I also listen to Better Man by James Morrison and imagine it would be soooo romantic for someone to play that song for me.
The live version of Yellow is breathtaking.
