How Far Would Your SO Go for You?
At a certain point in your relationship, you are extremely serious, but there likely hasn't been a situation that tests, "how far would they go for me?" You may be wondering in the back of your mind if they really care as much as they say they do. Sure, you can trust, but, many a person have told me they loved me and then when a tough situation presented itself they were not able to go the distance. I need someone who can love me no matter what, and who is willing to be there holding my hand through it all. Fair-weather boyfriends just aren't worth it.
Last night I ended up in the emergency room with horrible stomach pains and shortness of breath. My parents called my boyfriend and told him they would update him. As we were sitting in the emergency room I heard the door open and saw my boyfriend walk in the door. I couldn't believe he would come and see me when my parents were already with me. He sat in the emergency room with me for 7 hours and didn't eat or drink anything because he didn't want to leave my room. As I was getting my IV I looked over and his face was the most comforting thing I could have imagined.
My boyfriend showed me his dedication and love last night and I feel very lucky. I feel that in every relationship there will come a point when your SO has the opportunity to go the distance and show their feelings. I have watched too many of my friends overlook the red flags; the times when their SO's let them down and left them craving support. These are defining moments in a relationship and cannot be overlooked. Your SO should always go the distance for you.
Does your significant other go the distance? Have you been in situations that tested his dedication to you?

Awwww! :)
I would be there for mine in a heart beat, and he would do the same :)The army has tested our dedication to each other :)
that runner looks like bf with curly hair. makes me laugh. he kept patience when i had a rough time making decisions on what to do for days- sitting and lying on a couch hearing me complain. i shouldn't expect more- i think this is the time to go the distance for him.
Not far at all, I'm afraid. At the start of our relationship my boyfriend would do anything for me but now it seems like he just doesn't care anymore...
Anyway, apologies for being the downer of the thread. :P It's nice to see that other people have found someone who will go the distance for them in any case. I just hope I can find that someday.
Aw what a sweet guy!
My boyfriend would definitely go far for me. I may have my doubts every now and then, but I know when the time comes, he'd be there.
That's sweet. My boyfriend moved from Texas to California when I asked him to a few years ago so I know he would do anything for me since he left all his friends and family for me. He did have to move back after a year due to some complications, but I still know he would do anything for me. Now hopefully I'll have the guts to do the same thing in a year haha.
He does. He's even offered to get the moon for me if I asked. Of course, I declined on that.
My current boyfriend once ran all the way from the other side of town - in the pouring rain - for me. I was threatening to commit suicide (LONG story) and he ran right to my house. I wasn't dating him at the time, but he definitely stole my heart by doing that. :)
Now I'm as happy as can be!!
omg all i can say is AWWWWWWH.
