Can Astrology Really Predict Your Future Love Life?

In a sketchy walk up on 27th and 7th in New York City I found myself sitting across from an aged woman reading me my future on 3 tarot cards. For $15 I learned about how my year would go and how I would feel during each month. I learned that I'm going to fall in love with someone I already have a friendship with and eerily enough described to me were brief instances that proved her knowledge. But my inner skeptical self felt that you make your own future and just because someone tells you you are going to be with someone doesn't actually mean that the person will feel the same. Then why did I haul myself 20 blocks to hear what this person had to say and then pay for it?
I believe your actions cause events to set in motion and maybe people like to hear their future so they can build up the confidence to pursue what they already had on their mind. I also believe that people seek advice from others, and in my case an astrologist, because they already know the answer but they hope to get a different one. But while I have my beliefs I am a sucker for superstition, Karma being a total bitch and I receive a romantic horoscope daily to my blackberry. Don't judge me.
In regards to my future I will let you know how that one goes, but until then do you believe that astrology can predict your future love life?

How can far distant hunks of rock or gaseous spheres moving through space have anything to do with free, independent and intelligent living beings moving through space on other distant hunks of rocks?
I can't suspend enough disbelief to give any credence to astrology.
Astrology is a type of pseudoscience.
Whatever statements they provide can relate to anyone's life.
People only believe in the statements or see the statements as true because they search for significant events to fit the statements that were told.
If I were to tell you that new people will come into your life, you could probably think of several situations where opportunities of new people will come into your life (like starting school, a new job, or simply just going to the store).
Astrology also contradicts itself many times when analyzing personality. They'll say you're often shy but will come out when around close friends. Or, you're very proud but keep to yourself.
No, I do not believe Astrology can predict your future. Rather I think astrology provides the answers you seek or want to hear. BUT they make you pay or scam you on a silly idea that can often lead to dangerous choices.
If you seek different answers or one answer, ask your friends or family for advice. They are more sincere, they know who you are, and they don't charge you.
Although I often disagree with @LoBornlytesThoughtPalace@xanga on many factors (such as religion and politics), I am glad to say I can agree that astrology has no control over the future and is not significant enough to be the ones to provide the answers you seek.
I do hope you find what you're looking for. Love is amazing.
All I have to say is fuck that shit.
Astrology is bullshit. You're better off taking some time out of your day to plan things and think about things. You could've spent your money on something useful, like a lighter or ice cream.
No.
you need to go to the right source. those tarots can be interesting, accuracy is another thing. when i was 14 me and a friend got a quick one done. my friend pretends it wasnt right, but it definately was for both of us.
later i got 2 more readings done from probably a different lady one at 18 and one at 19. ill have to see. how accurate it was.
for me. something thats super accurate is astrology.com-- do the inner me report, intimacy report etc. im always amazed but how accurate it is. its amazing. id recommend it to anyone.
as far as astrology predicting our love life. i think that stuff lies in us. people miss and take opportunities daily, our paths can change constantly. i would never want to know what anyone would say about it anyways, would ruin the magic and process for me.
Astrology signs proved to be somewhat realistic with my last relationship. I was a Cancer and she was a Sagittarius; those two signs (fire and water) do not mix and say that we would not get along. We didn't and there was more fights and drama than my two prior relationships combined. As for the two prior relationships, they were both Libras and as the zodiac says, Cancer and Libras get along very well, which was the case for those two.
As for predicting the future, I'm still a little skeptical on that.
Astrology is fun, but nothing more, in my opinion. I don't buy into that or religion or anything that isn't logic-based.
Astrology is crap.
I love astrology and live my life base on it. Not the silly daily horoscope stuff or those scam psychic readings, I have my own system and it's pretty foolproof.
I have come to the conclusion; I listen to astrology predictions and reccomendations, but I don't think of it as a way to tell my fortune -- I see it as rather like... advice I can take with me during the day. For instance, I think that the horroscopes you read online, through mediums, or in the papers are generic; They can apply to everyone, apply to all things-- and when something is on your mind, of course you can relate your issues to what you read; it's psychosymatic almost.
That isn't to say that some of their advice is not actually useful. Sometimes it helps you focus on a single thought that you might not have thought about before. And instead of listening to all the good advice that is out there in the world, reading a 3 line horroscope from the local paper might help you think more seriously on a method of finding a solution that you had not considered before. Or bring up an opportunity to risk, or hold back where you have been in a rutt.
I don't believe in depending on astrology to run my life, just like I don't believe that simply having faith in the Christian God will fill your plate with food. You still gotta do stuff for yourself to get anywhere in this world. Fate, faith and fantasy are all well and good so long as you know how to take care of yourself too.
@LoBornlytesThoughtPalace@xanga - Nixing astrology; astronomy itself is very interesting.
OP:
I don't believe in any of that really.
No.
Well, let's say this: me and somebody compatible with my sign are talking about the possibility of marrying each other in the future. You can make the call.
my question to you is:
what if the tarot cards are simply trying to get you to think about things in a different aspect? For example: maybe i get a flamboyant telling me that my health will be in jeopardy this year. In a fit of anger, i do what i can (stop smoking, lose weight, eat healthy) to prevent this from coming true - low and behold it doesn't. What if the grand scheme of things was to just make me think "hey, maybe I should start thinking about my health"? Or maybe I go to the doctor for a yearly check up - find cancer - making her partly right, but b/c we found it at an early stage my life is still salvageable.
More or less, sometimes they can pick up on your short comings, but provide you a way to really think about what's going on.
@LoBornlytesThoughtPalace@xanga - Aren't you a fucking Catholic? You belong to the same species of fucking idiots who think cracker is meat and wine is blood.
It wasn't so long ago that fucking idiots like you believed that the sun orbited a geocentric Earth.
No, no, and no. Remember when they had to add another sign and it changed the dates of the other signs? Yeah totally reliable.
I'll read it or hear what people say for the heck of it. But, to me, friendships, relationships, life, is about a connection (physical and emotional), chemistry, communication, and growing with and challenging each other.
No, this isn't real.
@Denise__Paglia@xanga - hahahaha true.
