Yes, Sir! Authority as a Turn-On
I'll admit it: I have a small crush on my boss.But not a legitimate crush. If we met at any other place, in any other context in which he did not have inherent authority, I'm not sure how attracted to him I would actually be. It's the idea of him that I'm attracted to more than anything - the idea of using the power of sex to diminish the power of the institution, or something.
In the same vein, I always secretly wanted to have a passionate affair with a college professor - but never had one I found attractive enough to take the risk for.

I didn't have any long term crushes or even short term, but momentary lust at first sight. the paramedic at the emergency room, the off duty firefighters in their navy blue uniform, the cop in his dark uniform that is similar to the paramedic and off duty firefighters' uniforms were hot. it wasn't about authority like a boss or teacher though. the appeal was that they saved lives and are like super heros

I have a little crush on my boss.. but I always have (since I knew him back when I was 10, before he was my boss). Honestly though, some of the shit he does/says at work just makes me pissed at him with his "authority" other than feel "turned on" ugh.
Omg, this is totally me. I have such an authority fetish. I have many crushes on professors, they may not even be attractive to most people, but it's the position of power and intellect that makes them attractive lol. I've never tried to seduce a professor though, but I'm sure if a professor I was interested in made some strong signs of interest I'd probably do it, as horrible as it might be lol. Most have wives or girlfriends so I don't really think much further than just admiring them. It does help my grades though, when you get close to professors you really understand the subjects better lol. Sometimes you know though, when a professor likes you, at least I know of mine does, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything will come of it. At the end of the day it's just enjoying that persons company and that's enough for me.
Yes, I think authority is a turn on. I had a crush on a substitute teacher but because he was mysterious and a weirdo. He didn't have much power, though. I wouldn't get involved with anyone at school, it can turn ugly and young people are mean.

Authority is definitely a turn on. Someone mentioned soldiers above, but my husband is far from an authority figure. (Unfortunately, mind you.) I'm all for the feminist movement and women being empowered, but there will always be a part of me that gets turned on by a man wielding power over me.
