My Prom Was Hijacked
For my prom, I was not allowed to choose my date. It was more like a “Hey! I got you a corsage even though you said you didn’t want a date.”His name was Nick. He was harmless. He wrestled for our high school. We had a short-lived flame right before prom week.
I guess that was a misunderstanding when I had broken it off because when Prom night arrived he showed up with a corsage and insisted he be my date.
What's a girl to do?
Nevertheless, I allowed him to tie the corsage to my wrist and away I went. Danced the last song of the night with him and that was nice too.
The guy had major guts to show up with a corsage to Prom and hope the girl doesn’t shove it back in his face after being rejected twice.
Maybe I’m a dummy for letting such a sweet guy go.

I invited my best guy friend at the time because my boyfriend bailed on me and disappeared from the face of the earth. So, I took my best guy friend. I invited him through text because I didn't want him to think it was anything but friends. He came to my house like a half hour late, but he took me to prom and he was a really great date. He danced with me, we hung out all night, and we had fun. The end of the night he tried to kiss me, but I told him I didn't like him like that, like I had been telling him since we were 14. Anyways, now he's in jail for reasons I don't wish to disclose haha. Overall, fun night, but I wish I had gone alone and just hung out with friends. It would have been way more fun and probably more of what I needed at that time anyways.

i had this reeeeally big crush on this girl for my last 2 years of high school, which i'm sure was painfully obvious to her, but i was always too shy to say anything. finally, when prom came around, i somehow managed to squeeze out "heydoyouwannagotopromwithme" but she said she was going to be in india. so i went stag. what a waste of 300 fucking dollars.
that was many years ago...and then i happened to bump into her a few months ago in the city. i figured it was my chance to redeem myself. so we chatted for maybe 20 minutes, and i got her phone number. when i asked her out, she said she was busy (with no counteroffer, aka no). c'est la vie, i suppose.
I went alone (though I was not there alone, I had friends there) and at the very end of the night, I asked out the girl I liked to a dance. She was a grade below me and she was helping out with coordinating the prom that night. It was the very last song and not to mention it was a slow dance. It was so memorable, I can still remember that night. :)
my prom date had a crush on me for most of the school year unbeknownst to me, so he was already secretly admiring me, and told me about his feelings shortly before prom. I wasn't creeped out, but flattered, because he was a tall, toned bball player, and he had a good work ethic amongst other things that we had in common that initially appealed to me. we talked a lot prior to prom and I started to like him because we got along and our conversations flowed. he was attentive and excited that we were going to prom together. he quickly bought the prom tickets and told me to meet up with him during lunch at school to get my ticket. he asked me what color my dress was going to be, so that he can match the color of his tie to the color of my dress. he ordered the his and her corsages. he booked the appointment to take pics, but we split the bill on the prom pics. he pampered me and was like the eager prom planner, which I thought was cute, because the girl that he crushed on is going to prom with him. it was a dream come true for him and also an unexpected nice prom for me. I already mentioned my prom day on another post, but some bitter fool, actually twisted my cute prom story into some evil plot of using the guy rofl it isn't using when we mutually enjoyed the prom date and mutually liked each other
my prom date was my ex who was drunk. and i spent the night arguing with him and trying to sober him up. by the end of the night we were broken up.
haha, i asked the guy i liked at the time one MONTH before prom. when prom came around, it was a disaster. i hated it. it was nothing like i'd hoped it'd be, but i guess it was my fault. the guy i'd had a crush on for the ending two years of hs for me was planning on asking me, but when he found out i already had a date.. he asked another girl. i wish i went with him instead. sigh..
Haha wow. I went with a friend and he was very nice.
i didnt think anyone was going to ask me so i asked my best guy friend to go with me. after i asked him these two other guys asked me so i felt bad saying no to them especially since one of them was my crush which i wanted him to ask me. after a week my guy friend i was going with said he didnt wanna go with me anymore saying he didnt think he was gonna have fun and that "wasnt fair to me" so i asked my crush and we went together. i thought i was gonna have fun but i put my expectations of the night too high. he was pretty much with his friends the whole night, kinda like he felt forced to be with me so it sucked :/
I didn't get a prom. I dropped out before high school, earned my GED, and worked 3 years for my first car. Then I moved out of my parents house, haha. Looks like I missed out.
I didn't go to prom because my mom's boss paid for his employees and one family member to go on a safari trip and I didn't make it back in time. My husband didn't go to his prom either because he doesn't like dancing and even though we didn't even go to the same school, he said he would have asked me to prom if we had. I feel like I missed out on one of high school's most prominent memories, but that's ok. I'm not terribly sad about it.
I went to all three proms with my girlfriend at the time (my junior, senior and her senior prom). All three times were awesome. :)
I went to my senior prom.
It was with my high school sweetheart and we had a blast. She wore like the only modest dress at prom (just covered her shoulders) and she ROCKED it. I'm still in awe at how great she looked.

Well, consider yourself lucky. I never got asked to my prom, I went stag. No guy liked me in high school, they started in college ahaha. But that's another story. I mean, I had fun at prom and stuff, but dances aren't my thing so... It was a good experience, just a teensy bit expensive xP
a short fling before the week of prom? sounds like a one-night stand... and if you didn't want a date.. you would have said no. somewhere deep down inside you were desperate for a date.
its weird i went to prom with my best guy friend at the time, and he agreed even though he had a GF back then; we just went as friends. 5 years later we started dating. 3 years later we're still together. weird.
My intended prom date backed out when I met my boyfriend a week or three before prom because He didn't want to step on anybodies toes {metaphorically speaking XP} But because the boyfriend couldn't take the evening off I went with a girlfriend of mine. Had a blast and we All met up for afterparty ^^
I went with my Husband, Fiancée at the time and two other couples. We snuck in some malaboo, in a flask in my garder, and his friend asked me to hide a few blunts in my cleavage...
They said I was to innocent looking to get caught. (Yes I hung out with the stoners) BTW My husband drove and did not drink. We ditched prom early and went to the "FUN CENTER" Played games and go carting until dinner. Which was more fun then some people renting a limo to go to the cheesecake factory.
Went home popped a bottle of champagne and toasted to a fun night and to the end of Highschool.
My prom date was my high school crush and boyfriend at the time. The only thing he was thinking about at prom was trying to hook up his best friend with one of my friends who has a boyfriend. So the only think I got out of prom was a couple pictures and maybe 1 and a half dances with him. He was an ass. And I broke up with him after a year of dating him.
Prom was just okay. I wanted to go with a guy who I was interested in but my prom was during his finals week and plus he would have had to fly (he lived and went to college like 600 miles away). I was content in going alone as an alternative but he told me I should get another date because I deserved to be taken out, anyway. As fate would have it, the next day a guy I knew asked me and I agreed since I thought he was nice and thought we might have a good time. Well, I think this guy friend really had the hots for me at the time and it was kind of awkward as I really wasn't interested in him like that. He was also really into prom and took me to look for a dress and out on dates before prom and everything. I kinda felt bad because him and his family were so into it and were very nice and attentive but I felt kind of awkward the whole time. lol.
Six months or so later he got arrested for being involved in the murder of his girlfriends dad. Never would have thought. So now every time I think of senior prom I'm reminded that I went with a now convicted felon.
my ex dumped me before prom. i would have preferred to go alone, but i was too shy. i invited a guy from another school (his parents had a limo & driver). he made an ass of himself & had bad breath. since i wasnt allowed to go on dates or to parties, it was really my first real date. it sucked. to this day i hate dating.
