Top Three Songs I Blast After a Breakup

1. Alanis Morrisette – You Oughta Know
2. Adele – Rolling In The Deep
3. Dan Auerbach – Heartbroken, In Disrepair

Morrisette is the most beautiful lyricists of the 90’s. The lyrics in You Oughta Know sting whomever the man was that broke Alanis’ heart (FYI It was Uncle Joey from Full House).And every time I scratch my nails down someone else's back I hope you feel it/well can you feel it
Adele’s new single, Rolling In The Deep off her 21 album is chilling. Her voice is so unique that it’s perfect for the song’s intense and vengeful message.See how I leave, with every piece of you/Don't underestimate the things that I will do
Ah, Dan Auerbach. What’s there to say? Auerbach describes that heartbreak feeling like I’ve never heard before in Heartbroken, In Disrepair. Searching for light, gasping for air/Heartbroken, in disrepair

I noticed that a lot of Linkin Park songs are great break up songs (lyrically); especially if the break up was bad.
I looove Rolling In The Deep! I did a cover of it actually :)

I don't have breakup songs, cause then I just associate that music with that person and that negative experience.
Woooo, Adele! <3
this korean song makes me burst into tears
it is melancholy in the beginning but there is an intense screaming dmx style rapping part, where it escalates the emotions into anger, then it slows down into a gloomy ending, and damn that singer is sexy and looks like one of my exes

I love Adele. I actually prefer ‘Turning Tables’ to ‘Rolling in the Deep’. My Break-Up playlist starts with depressing songs like... ‘Torn’ by Natalie Imbruglia and ‘Breath’ by Anna Nalick but ends with feel good songs like ‘It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World’ by James Brown and ‘Higher Ground’ by Stevie Wonder. I move on faster if I listen to music that makes me feel good.

@PunkRockCowboy@xanga - Isn't brick written about a guy's girlfriend getting an abortion? It's a really sad song.
@cdedodgethis@xanga - That's what I heard. It really applies for me though, but not for that reason. We broke up the day after Christmas, and I lived in Charlotte for 5 years haha.
@PunkRockCowboy@xanga - Oooh. That makes sense. Day after christmas? Ouch
