  • What Do Women Want?

I have no idea! But, here is what we DON'T want!

    1. A CHEAP-ASS: I am sure that I am just asking for comments about gold-diggers, but there is a difference between a guy who is broke and a guy who is cheap. TLC had it right in 1999 with their song "No Scrubs."
    2. LOSER: If you are still working your high school job or are jobless, living with your parents or sleeping on your friend's couch, failing your community college classes or not in school and not graduated, and drinking and/or smoking pot every weekend, you are probably a loser.
    3. A KNOW-IT-ALL:  I know a guy that is super smart and he always thinks he is right. He is always butting in to other people's conversations and correcting others. This is not cute.
  • A FLAKE: Don't be unreliable. Your flakiness is a waste of my time and it is super frustrating.
  • A CHICKEN: A brave man is sexy a scared man is not. If I find a bug and you are too scared to kill it, I am moving on to the next guy. Is it hypocritical that I am too scared to kill a bug and I get mad if a guy is scared too? YES, it is. I don't care though.
  • A LAZY-ASS: Get off your butt and do something with me. I love a relaxing night at home, but not every night.
  • A JERK: I hate jerks!! I love it when I see guys act kindly towards strangers, even if it is a waitress or the lady waiting in the same line at the grocery store.
  • The list could go on and on. I am sure some women can help me out with this list!

This was perfection from beginning to end.

it's so hard to find a guy who isn't at least one of the things on this list lmao

  • Chibi_Son_Gokou@xanga

You forgot A SUCK-UP: A guy who tells a woman too early that he likes her, buys her a lot of gifts, always asks what she wants to do, puts his life on hold for her, and calls her several times a week.

  • P0RCELA1N_D0LL@xanga

I used to be scared of bugs but now I just squash them with my flip flop(with tissue paper attached to it so I can easily toss it into the toilet and flush that mofo to the sewer where it belongs) when I see them on the wall...but I'll show the squished spider or other bug to whoever is nearby to broadcast my bravery lol and to gross them out:D the tlc song practically sums up the no scrubs thing. I can be #3 at times but I often don't disrupt their conversation but silently listen, then later I'll tell my friend about what an idiot the person earlier was and mutually laugh to share the moment:D I like intelligent guys that say things that I don't already know but not in a rude way of course. I mean that they don't call the other person dumb, then explain it, but they kindly explain it without condescending remarks to show superiority, which I've seen happening with everyday people and not just guys I'm interested in. unless it is my bday or someone's bday, then I don't like flakes, but on regular events, sometimes I've been a flake, because the person called me multiple times blowing up my phone to go to the restaurant or wherever and I feel guilt tripped into attending, so my mood isn't that good and I wait until the last minute to get ready and end up changing into several outfits and then I'm late I should've just said that I wasn't going but what's worse than being a flake and a tad late than promising that I'd go but not showing up, so I'll just be fashionably late I've had this situation happen to me, too, so I understand, yet still get mad:P ok, the previous was sort of a confession I'll add that I like genuine people and hilarious people. oh, and sincerity:)

Not everyone who lives with their parents is a loser.  In some cultures, it is common to live with one's parents until marriage. ;)

  • lilblucherrygrl@xanga

I'd have to disagree about there being no difference between being broke and cheap. As far as I am aware being cheap is a conscious decision whereas being broke isn't always something you can control. It's one thing if you have options and chose not to take them but if at the time things are just fucked up and not much can be done at the moment Ill understand.

All the others I can understand although I'm a little picky with the description of a loser. There were times in my life where I dropped out of school, couldn't work but instead had to go to therapy constantly and I felt like I'd never get back up again. Some days I just didn't want to try and other days I barely mustered up the ambition. Sometimes that is just life. I won't judge someone based on their job, how much they make or their education until I know the situation more deeply. I've learned that you absolutely cannot generalize with those things. What makes a person a real loser is when they've has their losses and don't at least try to rise above them.

  • bmillerssailor@xanga

I don't completely agree with everything - but I do agree to an extent on most. I can handle being cheap if it's for good reason (like saving for a car or a child). I also don't think having an occasional drink on the weekend makes you a loser.

BUT, I would like to add something else to the list:
Insecurity: It's always nice to have a man with confidence that shows. NOT to be mistaken for cockiness (goes along with your know-it-all). I just find confidence to be super important. My fiance is the most confident person I know and it inspires me and gives me confidence in him.

  • DarkWaver@xanga

Unless this is shot at humour, I'd have to say this is an incredibly ignorant post.

  • Chibi_Son_Gokou@xanga

@lilblucherrygrl@xanga - Agreed.  It's kind of selfish to judge someone for not having a job or not having a well-paying job these days.  There are so many guys out there with MASTERS degrees that are having trouble landing positions in their career field and have to settle for department store jobs until they can.

    Do I win a prize?

Did pretty well there. I have been all of these at one point or another... I think they are stages that guys sometimes go through trying to find themselves (except the scary cat thing... I am on bug killing duty constantly....)
  • o0_Innocent_0o@xanga

Sigh. My boyfriend is the lazy-ass. He's either always sleepy or doesn't know what to do. It makes me agitated because I'd rather be home studying or doing something more productive. I'd add "A HORRIBLE CONVERSATIONALIST". I like talking, need someone who would have a decent conversation with me.

  • OstentatiousEloquence@xanga

YSEYESYESYESYESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSs I agree with all of these!!!!

"Is it hypocritical that I am too scared to kill a bug and I get mad if a guy is scared too? YES, it is. I don't care though." HELL YAH

"I love it when I see guys act kindly towards strangers, even if it is a
waitress or the lady waiting in the same line at the grocery store. "
YES. There is no greater instant turnoff to me than a man who speaks down or coldly to those serving him. It speaks miles.

  • HollowTendencies@xanga

@Chibi_Son_Gokou@xanga - Wtf are you stupid? That's exactly what I DO want.

  • mdongivin@mancouch
  • zzzzzulavalle@xanga

love this list. i really dont understand why they think being assholes is attractive is a girl's eyes. its not, so get it through your heads -_- I always find it so cute when they are randomly really nice to strangers or hold the door open for old people :)

  • lovezpassion@xanga

Great post. Don't forget the liars/manipulators.. those are #1 for me.

  • LaBellaMorena

@zzzzzulavalle@xanga - Agreed! I once gave a cute guy my number specifically because he opened the door for a person in a wheelchair.

  • TheNotoriousGOD@xanga

out of curiosity, what if it's someone who has a good job, works hard, and also drinks and/or smokes a lot?

  • Chibi_Son_Gokou@xanga
@HollowTendencies@xanga - But are you SEXUALLY ATTRACTED to such guys, or do you just crave their attention?
  • zzzzzulavalle@xanga

@LaBellaMorena - aw thats so cute! yeah its little nice gestures like that that girls notice about guys

  • kALIAS1334@xanga

@Chibi_Son_Gokou@xanga - agreed! I call these guys morphers. They morph in to whatever their girlfriend wants them to be.

@EccentricSiren@xanga - You are right, I was talking about a combination of those things. I actually just moved back in with my parents for nursing school.
@lilblucherrygrl@xanga - I believe that you misread what I wrote, I said that there IS a difference between being broke and cheap! :)
@bmillerssailor@xanga - I didn't say an occasional drink on the weekend makes you a loser. A man with confidence is always sexy! @DarkWaver@xanga - Not trying to be humorous, I am dead serious!
@Chibi_Son_Gokou@xanga - There is a difference between being broke and cheap! That is the point I am trying to make. I can date a broke guy, but not a cheap guy.
    @o0_Innocent_0o@xanga - find a new man! ;)
@zzzzzulavalle@xanga - Guys think that being an asshole is attractive to women because a lot of girls do go for that! Some of us smarter girls, do not! @TheNotoriousGOD@xanga - Depends on the girl! I can deal with it if it doesn't get in the way of more important things. But, to me, drugs and alcohol don't really give the guy any brownie points.

    After
reading your article, I think I learned a lot, I have seen in the previous like
you a lot of similar articles, for example, Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo. Read
do not feel anything, but after reading your article is not so. Yesterday, I
read some, there is so little feeling better than I had read a lot, I recommend
you take a look, such as Christian
    Louboutin Shoes
    , Manolo Blahnik.
