Here in Seattle where I live most people tend to hibernate during the rainy and cold winter, but as soon as the city starts to get that burst of good weather men and women seem to come out of the wood works, and I’m hoping that sunshine is right around the corner.
I love to snowboard during the winter, and when I hit the mountains there are definitely cute guys on the slopes and in the lodge but they hardly seem in mingle mood.
I've read and noticed that people have a tendency to be more open to meeting new people and are more open to relationships during the warmer parts of the year.I am a very outgoing person, but I too tend to hibernate as well during the colder months. I’m more likely to grab some bottles of wine or beer from the store and congregate with friends at my place or their place instead of going out to a live music show, bar, or lounge. I’m ready to get to the beach, the parks, the outdoor festivals to scope all the guys!
Ok so I don’t want you think I’m some guy crazed horn dog or something, but I am ready to meet some new men that the Pacific Northwest has to offer, and like I mentioned earlier people are more approachable when the sun is shining and the weather is good (It's true for the peeps in the NorthWest-I don't know how it is elsewhere).
When the weather gets warmer and we see more sunlight, the melatonin in our bodies decreases, which is shown by studies that it leads to an increase in energy and vitality. Sociologist Dr. Julie Albright who in the past has been a professor at USC and h
as been a research consultant at eHarmony says, “The decrease in melatonin brings about mood changes that make it easier to find a relationship.” She points out that the warmer weather also allows us to shed all those extra clothing layers. Showing a little skin makes it easier to read sexual cues from one another.
Galtime relationship expert and therapist Dr. Jane Greer says the bare skin is its own turn-on to many, and also says from studies she has conducted that with the decrease in melatonin in our bodies it gives us, "an abundance of energy" which serves as a mood adjustment for many of us. I totally agree, because when I wake up on a sunny morning I can't do anything else but jump put of bed with a huge grin on my face, with the "I can take on the World" attitude.
So I'm ready for some fun in the sun, and after I'm done writing this post I'm going to go pray to the Sun Gods.
My question to all the people that live where it's not sunny all the time is, do people hibernate in the cold months too and are you ready for some male/female interaction?

Glad it's pretty much always sunny in California. People are always out and about here for sure. It was raining last night and I definitely noticed a huge decrease in the amount of people that were out.
I’m flirtier and more inclined to party the night away if it’s warm outside.
"She points out that the warmer weather also allows us to shed all those extra clothing layers. “ I’m all for losing those extra layers of clothing.Eh. I lived in Illinois for a fair number of years. Once you get used to the cold and dark winters, you just go about your business regardless of what's uncontrollable. Certainly, more people get out during the day when it's nice, but deathly cold isn't going to empty the bars or restaurants - and it certainly never stopped a college party.
I love it when it's warm out! I definitely have a better mood in sunny weather. When it's cold I get cranky. :p
oh hello i'm from Seattle too
yah, I need to meet me some men, too
Yes. In fact, I'm one of those people that hibernates. I can't wait till I can be outside without a heavy coat on in the nighttime.
@shinoseishi@xanga - Agreed. Getting drunk in the summer tends to make me lose even more layers...
this website is very good, you can go and see it

Its raining men. Haha, yeah definitely everyone hibernates here in Minnesota. Everyone is pretty much dead in the winter. The summers are definitely more fun and you see more people walking around in the cities. Bring on the sweaty summer men!! sans sweaty.
I like warmer weather but I don't like the sun...
actually, i prefer winter fashion over summer fashion. though it's kind of obnoxious to have to wear a coat when going out, and shell 5 bucks on coat check =(
@sunflowersforlove@xanga - this is one of many reasons why i can't stand california and will never live there again. rain shouldn't stop your life from happening!
