Creepiest Pickup Line Ever?
Lately, I've been in random places where I will have a conversation with an older guy and they will offer the same thing to me, "If you need a place to stay tonight, you can always stay with me."
Can we say creepy? I just met you!This has happened to me three times recently. THREE! During the worst possible moments. I was in a car wreck during January (wasn't my fault, it was a hit and run) and an older man happened to stop and help me out with calling the police and filing the report on the accident.
He waited with me on the feeder to make sure the tow truck was coming and so I wouldn't have to wait alone. As we made small talk he then turned to me and said that line. Not only was I totally creeped out but isn't that kind of a weird thing to offer during a car wreck of all situations?The second time was at the airport. As I was waiting in line to check my bags in, and the line was going particularly slow, I decided to turn around and ask the older man behind me a question. He began making small talk about where he was from, then he mentioned how he likes to go clubbing, then it got down to "If you'd ever like to visit you're more then welcome to stay with me."
I ran to the 'bathroom' to hide until the coast was clear then hurried to the end of the line.The last was at the hardware store. I like going there to restock my art supplies at this local mom and pop store in my neighborhood. This, yet again, older man was there helping me cut a sheet of plexiglass I needed for a project I was working on at the time.
As we started to converse for a short period he mentioned how he had a second home at the nearby beach and invited me over. It was all just weird. I grabbed my things, paid, and left.Well, there ya have it. Maybe I'm just randomly meeting the creepiest people ever? Each of these guys were older then me, around 30-40 yrs, while I'm almost 20. I'm not sure if with age comes less suave one-liners, but these guys really need some help.
I hate to say it, either that or maybe some lessons from the pickup artist. These guys looked normal until they said that one line. What started as polite small talk turned into creepy, weird, awkward moments which left me feeling uncomfortable.Anyone else get hit on by the occasional creeper?

How about this one....
Do you want to know how I know we are gonna sleep together tonight?
Because I'm stronger than you *sly grin*
Brutal.
Well maybe they were genuinely trying to help, but because they hadn't had it in so long the fantasy behind their genuine offer shone through into their eyes... thus making it creepy....
The picture is creepy hahahaha
My personal favorite is "so are you going to be walking to your car alone later?" Or, "that dress would look great on my floor, right next to the panties I stole from your laundry." Even, "How about you and I make a compost heap behind planned parenthood." There are just so many options.
Creeeeeeeeeepy. =\
I would be so creeped out... =(
@Footballblogs@xanga - That's pretty horrifying actually.
@mdongivin@mancouch - haha wow. those are outrageous lines!
I have. I just tend to ignore them.
The first one doesn't sound that bad, seems like he was just trying to be nice though it came off as creepy to you, though the other two are definitely creepy.
"Get in the van."
Story of my life.
I'm a creeper magnet.
i think it happens because older men sometimes have valuables or money and think they dont know how to express that when trying to pick up younger women.
@mdongivin@mancouch - LOL QUALITY :D
@screamingout4you@xanga - True, just thought I would show her it could have been worse :) But I tink mdongivin outdid me.......
I became acquaintances with an older tattooed guy at my work, unknown to me was the fact that he's the official creeper of my workplace. Someone tipped me off to it and I try to avoid him now, but every time I think I am safe he pops up and forces me into awkward conversations. Nothing super shady, just weird coming from an older guy I barely know. He always wants to pick me up after work and take me to some bar (that I have never heard of, even though he says it's right around the corner from my neighborhood?) and I just don't dig it. Then he asks me things like "aw, are you okay?" in a weird puppy dog voice when I am perfectly fine - no, scratch that, he's probably picking up on my pained expression and attempts to leave mid-conversation. Sigh.
What makes it creepy is because you have just met someone and they're entertaining the idea of having you stay over or be in such an intimate setting together (not that it has to be sexual). That is what makes it so unsettling, I would be creeped out too.
I don't make small talk. I don't play like that. When you live in the city you learn quickly to be on your guard. Look like a confident bitch.
I love the movie Teeth btw.
when i was 17 i (lightly) crashed my car into some woman's car. another random dude stopped by to help out, and by the time the police had finished their business, the random dude and the woman were making out in the parking lot.
soooo...you know, it's not entirely out of the question.
@starcrossedloversdivine@xanga - this is totally true, ignoring everyone around you is a GREAT way to meet new people.
@TheNotoriousGOD@xanga - LOL, I hear that.
@starcrossedloversdivine@xanga - I'm from the south. A southern city actually. And I like talking to people because I like getting to know others around me. And I will never see them again. Thank goodness. So in the long run talking to others, even if they turn out to be creepers, can either make your day amazing or horrible. Its actually more valuable then anything else, I think, socially.
@TheNotoriousGOD@xanga - I make friends in safe situations, like work and grad courses.
I usually just ignore them or respond in a way that involves them shutting up and walking quickly.
@TheNotoriousGOD@xanga - LOL that's hilarious.....and weird.
I had this weird drunk guy hit on me and my friend Saturday night at a show. It was just really awkward. He came up and introduced himself and he shook my hand and hers, and said "you're beautiful" after each time, which, isn't super creepy, but it was still weird. Then he asks random questions like, "so what do you think about Japan?" It's like, um, it's bad? lol....I love drunk people! I haven't had anyone real creepy in a while though.
horrible lines. creepy.
@Footballblogs@xanga - Wow. Just wow. I laughed and then realized how creepy that actually was.....and then kept on laughing.
Creepy creepy creepy. Just like the movie Teeth. So creepy. :(
@nad_nuts@xanga - The pic is definitely from the movie Teeth. Pretty good movie, if you like twisted, creepy movies xD
