More Anniversary Ideas

Since my anniversary with my bf is coming up (March 13th) I kind of need some ideas. So far, I have this going on my head if it doesn't rain on Sunday: Going to the zoo from 10 to 5 p.m (not the whole day but most of the day), possibly the gardens (also Japanese gardens) and then around 6 or 7, dinner at a nice place (can't think of any), then maybe a movie.So the thing I ask is this: Is this romantic enough for a one year anniversary? And what other options can you suggest? I'd appreciate it. We pretty much can do anything except something overtly expensive... it's just that I have no ideas and am drawing a blank on this. Though I already kind of realize that doing anything with my bf is amazing and just romantic, how do I make it more so on a one-year anniversary?

I think you should do whatever you both like to do. Your idea of going to a zoo then dinner sounds fun! It doesn't need to be a huge thing, just something simple and special.
@UnconventionalButterfly@xanga - Unfortunately, it might rain...so I have to cancel the zoo. Dinner is probably a must, but after that? Nothing at all.
@PseudoEuphoric@xanga - We like pretty much anything...lol
My boyfriend and I anniversary is march 11th dating for 2 years. We're just goin to the movies and a dinner. Thats all i can think of...
@Hinase@xanga - Darn the rain! It ruins everything >_< I would just try to look up event that could be happening around that time...maybe you can catch a play or something? Good luck, and congrats :]
@UnconventionalButterfly@xanga - Thanks =D I think I'll look up something like that.
An outdoor picnic that could be moved indoors (in case of bad weather)! Cooking together could be fun and romantic!! :)
Go back to the place you met? Dinner somewhere unconventional? Walk under stars? Special event, concert etc?
Most I have ever done is take her out, rent her favourite DVD's, we made each other our favourite meals (with hilarious consequences...) and then "have fun" somewhere different :P
Be imaginative and surprise him with whatever comes into your head, no matter how silly!!
We like night driving along the river line. If you live near river or coastal line, it is fun cruising together at night.
I haven't celebrated any anniversaries with my bf. Long distance sucks like that.
@cherryluva7@xanga - it's okay. I never got to celebrate valentine's. I'm in LDR too.
Don't stress yourself worrying if it's romantic "enough". What matters is that you two enjoy yourselves. For some people, it wouldn't be good enough, but for others, it's a fantastic day that you have planned (and I'm in that category). If it needs spiced up, you two will find spontaneous ways to make it so.
@cherryluva7@xanga - @bread_withbutter@xanga - We did the whole LDR thing for four years (thankfully, we're in the same city now), and he had finals week on our 2-4 year anniversaries. Not cool. But, we made it. You don't have to celebrate on that day. Find other days on which you CAN celebrate, and make the most of them instead. (Really, any day together is a celebration.) In the meantime, cards, letters, and actual, printed-out pictures mean a ton. Take your digital camera to CVS and get your pictures printed out, and send them to him. Hopefully, you'll have plenty more years ahead of you to celebrate in person!
that sounds like a lot for a day. You are so not getting to the movie ;)
i think thats very sweet. :)
good luck! and have fun!
@Footballblogs@xanga - That's kind of the problem. I have no idea how to be imaginative..and we met at work. Lol And the fact that it might rain, kinds of dampens our choices for the moment. But I guess I'll try to come up with something.
this website is very good, you can go and see it

On our one year anniversary, he took me to the one place I've never been to while raised here in Vancouver. Harrison Hot Spring Spa up in the mountain, 2 hours drive from where we lived. Nothing big really.
Checked in, went for a swim in the hot mineral water, lunch, had a couple of drinks, another session of swimming, dinner, went for a late night walk on a trail near by, more drinks and room service.Under $500!Its just the spending time together that day that made it so special.@Katja88@xanga - This is my first time in a relationship, so I'm actually not quite sure of what to do with it. But thanks for bringing up these suggestions! really needed those. haha
thank you
