Why Being Single During Winter is Great

Sure the holidays are here and being single is just a bit harder, mostly for women. Whether you're newly single or been single for a while, there are reasons to be happy during the winter.1. You don't have to shave your legs, armpits, or down there as much. Personally, I hate being hairy, so I always like to shave, but since it's winter, I shave less frequently, like once a week, or once every 10 days.
2. One less present to buy or worry about him liking it. Many of us are buying presents for our friends and family, and we worry about them liking it. You don't have to look for some big expensive present for your SO,and save that money and buy yourself something instead.
3. For women, you can eat, all the chocalate you want, without worrying what your SO might think. I would suggest to be careful and have some limits because of diabetes and other such things. Also, for some women, like myself, chocalate makes you horny so maybe have a certain limits.
4. On a cold wintery night, you may want someone to snuggle with, while you're reading your book before sleeping. After you finish reading, the best way to have a good night's sleep is to reach for your favorite vibrator and give yourself a treat. Many might think it's not as good as acutal sex, but for single women, who don't want a shitty booty call, a vibrator can achieve magic fast and can head to sleep; so instead of waiting for that snoring booty call to leave, use your favorite vibrator.
5. Before you think I'm completly ignoring men in this blog post, men you can keep that beard, drink your booze, and watch your favorite sport without worrying about someone nagging you for watching sports. Though please, do not neglect showering, cleaning your place, or doing laundry.
Now for both genders:6. Clubbing and bar hopping! Booze, booze, dancing, and random hookups. Though please be careful and use protection!
7. You don't have to worry about your family liking the SO. You can have a peaceful dinner without your aunt, uncle, or other relatives saying, "He's such a pig, is he/she seriously dating him/her?"
8. You can bring in the New Year by making resolutions that are focusing on you.
9. You can bring in the New Year and party with your friends and not worry about coming home drunk to an SO, or worrying about your SO being drunk. Unless you live with your parents that is.
10. No drama to start the New Year...or at least you would hope. Basically you can leave anything behind and not worry about dealing with it in the year to come.
Any other positives I missed?

I'll watch football with a beer and my unshaved legs while he watches football with a beer and an unshaved face.
Lol at the vibrator bringing the magic.
A lot of these are also applicable if you're in a functional relationship...
1. I shave anyway because I feel gross if I don't, boyfriend or not.
2. Yeah, I have to buy him a present, but it actually makes me happy to get him something and make him happy, and while I do stress a tiny bit, in the end, we know and love each other, so we both hit the mark spot-on.
3. First, my boyfriend isn't going to judge me just because I eat some damn chocolate. Second, pigging out is a bad idea whether you're single or in a relationship. Excessive chocolate eating = feeling sick = weight gain = lowered self esteem = le suck.
4. Vibes are great no matter what your relationship status.
5. Who would actually nag their boyfriend about wearing his facial hair the way he likes, having some beer, and watching what they want? Srsly, people in that kind of relationship need to grow the fuck up.
6. Random hook ups apply, though if I was going to hook up, I def wouldn't pick up a drunkard in a bar. Bad things happen. The rest of these you can do on a ladies' night out even if you are in a relationship.
7. If your family is comprised of that level of assholes, you have a lot more to worry about than them liking your SO. OR you need to reevaluate the quality of your SO.
8. Uh, that's what resolutions should be about, relationship or no.
9. Who cares if one/both of you are drunk? You can hang out with friends together and both get sloshed. Dur.
10. If you have a good relationship, then the drama thing doesn't apply anyway.
All in all, this list was kind of irrelevant. I'm not saying being single is a bad thing or that being in a relationship is better, but these weren't very good points IMHO.
This list seems more like "reasons it's good to be single if you typically date horrible, horrible people."
meh... let up, people. let us single ladies have some solace, even if it stems from ignorance. x)
@mademoiselle_rachelxx@xanga - @raspbxrrryjam@xanga - Agreed.
@theartofbumbling@xanga - exactly. People in relationships can't have this kinda fun. We have so much freedom. We're single and fabulous!
oh yes, who doesn't love chocalate..
@mademoiselle_rachelxx@xanga - Agreed. And thank goodness someone else thought so too because I didn't want to type all that :)
This just seems ignorant or written out of bitterness :(
I am sorry if you've had shitty boyfriends, and couldn't do these things while in a relationship. That isn't right. You should be able to do these things even with an SO (besides hooking up of coourse).
I haven't had a problem with any of these with my man, except the hooking up part obviously, and I don't drink period.. And I shave, because I'm a clean woman heh.
*Chocolate
I do these things, most of these things regardless of a boyfriend. I'm sure people do.
5. My bf doesn't drink nor doesn't watch sports O.o
@Anon - Well, this is for fun. It wasn't meant to be taken seriously. I mean sure I would do some of these things, but not all the time. It's for fun. You're actually the bitter one. Just because you're in a relationship, doesn't mean you have to be all lame and such, you can have your own fun, but let the singles have their fun.
@Hinase@xanga - Well, I wrote it more of a joke, I mean I know I do some of these things when I'm in a relationship, except hookups and drinking (i'm under 21 so I can go clubbing/barhopping), but I do have my own fun. It's just I thought it'd be funny, and instead people take me seriously. I mean sure some things I'm serious about, such as the stuff about New Years, but everythinge else I'm mostly kidding, though there is a bit of seriousness behind them, except I made fun of that.
sucks that some people took this post too seriously.
@thearyanprincess@xanga - I mean sure there are some serious parts, like yea, it's fun being single and you should party it up. But some parts like shaving, chocalate, and partying, yea, that was mostly kidding, with a bit of seriousness behind it. It's like I love being single when I'm single and everything goes well, and I love being in a relationship because I like the person I'm with. And worst of all is that one person who couldn't even sign in with a Xanga screename, lousy coward, it's like dude, state your opinion, but just know this blog is for hahas
@PseudoEuphoric@xanga - It's a joke. Look at most of this stuff. Yes, I know you can do most of the stuff in a relationship, but what I do is exagerate some things. Plus, it's no harm in being single, nor am I bitter. I'm just trying to help my fellow singles out by showing they can have fun, while making fun of some things.
@summerdreams505Aa@xanga - It's best to put a disclaimer saying you're joking or whatnot, so people don't take it seriously. Because by default, people take things seriously.
@Hinase@xanga - Agreed.
@summerdreams505Aa@xanga - I'm glad you weren't held back in your relationship, I thought maybe that was what sparked this post. When did I say single people can't have fun and enjoy focusing in themselves? I'm sure I didn't say anything against single people. I'm not being bitter. Merry Christmas.
@mademoiselle_rachelxx@xanga - I was going to list something like that but you beat me to it! Yeah pretty much none of those things are things you can't enjoy without a boyfriend. The only single one that I can't argue about is drama. But even if you are single you will get drama from somewhere else...
@PseudoEuphoric@xanga - This list was my favorite!
I enjoyed all of these and agree 100%. Thanks :)
I love the vibrator part...haha.
@PseudoEuphoric@xanga - Seems like you yourself enjoy this drama
@Anon - Wow, my dear coward, you don't like using your screename eh. And nope, I wasn't held back, if I was believe me, I would've dumped the mofo.
@ScorpioInBlack@xanga - Thank you! At least someone got it~!
