I Blew a Porn Fuse

I've been losing interest in porn.
I've reached a point in my life that I'm actually bored of it. I don't want to watch porn anymore.
It's not that my sex drive is gone. I can still get "excited."It's funny that this has happened actuallly because there was a point in my life when I tried to quit watching porn. At some point I got tired of trying and failing and then feeling guilty afterwards so I just stopped trying to quit and ironically, that's what helped me quit.
I didn't put any effort into quitting but after some nights alone I've reached a porn limit. Perhaps it's the repetition of the same themes, the same sequence of events, or the same people involved that just got old and cliche, but it's no longer on my mind.
I no longer have the urge to watch it anymore. I think I may have blown a porn fuse. After watching so much, I've finally gotten tired of it like an old video game.
Has anyone else gotten tired of porn and blown a porn fuse?

I was tired of it about a month ago. Now i'm back to watching it 24/7. I think everyone gets like that. Its the same as when we get pancake mix. I'll eat pancakes for a week until i'm sick of them and never eat a single one until 5 months later.
I never was that high on porn in the first place.
I still watch it occasionally. I was never that craze over it.
GOOD, it's good that you had a breakthrough =)
Now you can find better things to occupy yourself with.
I haven't started to get tired of it. I watch it sometimes when I'm bored, usually fetish stuff than normal sex because that's boring. I was addicted to taeyang's where u at music video. watching him dance is better than porn to me because I have a crush on him whereas these pornstars don't interest me much to become addicted.
I accomplished that at the age of 8.
I just resparked my love for porn this year after watching "This Ain't Star Trek."Classy.Don't worry. It'll come back to you.
Yeah I know what you mean... it can get to the point where it's just monotonous and boring. Sometimes it just plain ole grosses me out even if it's just regular heterosexual sex. So yeah I rarely watch it and when I do I sit there thinking about the reasons why I usually don't watch it.
@l0veBabyx@xanga - agreed
@mashroob@xanga - LOL Pancake mix. That was a good one. :)
That happened to me about a year, year and a half ago. I decided I was ready to stop avoiding relationships and start having sex with someone, which I am doing.
Get a girlfriend- you'll be happy that you did.
@l0veBabyx@xanga - It's not a BAD thing to occupy yourself with.
Anyway, I don't watch it all that much, because even though I have a high sex drive, I'm usually just imaginative. I'll be in the mood sometimes, but it's only a couple of times a month, I'd say.
@mademoiselle_rachelxx@xanga - Well we can't neccesarily say it's a GOOD thing either, in my opinion.
Porn doesn't get me off in the first place. It's interesting, but I don't get my rocks off on it. Good for position reference but in all honesty, those painfully modified vaginas and perfectly sculpted breasts get me nowhere, and I'm a big fan of seein' some skin. ;3
I prefer the real thing, and if my bf would just come back from Japan sooner I'd get sooome. Grr.
@P0RCELA1N_D0LL@xanga - Taeyang is sofuckinghot. I actually went on a 3-day Kpop binge, and had the weirdest dreams about dancing Korean men in weird outfits. :/
I haven't had this happen to me because I watch it maybe once or a few times a week. But I do understand what it's like to really get into something for awhile and eventually you just don't care for it much anymore. Sometimes it comes back and sometimes it doesn't. The problem with you trying to stop was the fact that you clearly didn't want to stop then. Now you do.
I had an addiction to cutting and no matter how many people I made upset or how many times they asked me to stop, I didn't. Because you can't until you're truly "burned out" on it or something in you says "I've had enough". I had to attempt suicide before that happened and this is probably an extreme example but I think you get the point.
And as a final thought my example was for an addiction example but I don't think you are at all. I think you're like a lot of guys(or girls) who get into the excitement the porn can offer some people and you just got tired of it, like you said. Just making that clear lol.
@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - so in other words, you were watching porn before you were 8??
@l0veBabyx@xanga - If it's not a bad thing, don't condemn it. If it's not a good thing, don't praise it. It's obviously neither good nor bad then. It's just a thing. No need to make a big deal over it, since it's neither good nor bad.
@donspike@xanga - If you live in a black-or-white world I suppose that is correct.
You just need a break from it.
@donspike@xanga -
There is no one making a big deal about nothing; sorry for my input on the entry, that's what I thought I was supposed to doI freaking love porn <3
@l0veBabyx@xanga - It's not a bad thing as long as you aren't addictive. Nothing wrong with porn a few times a week.
@SexyGamerGirl@xanga - lmao hey Im not even going against it, I watch it too. As for him, I'm saying now he can find something else more productive to do, cause even though it's fun to watch, it's not neccesarily productive.
@l0veBabyx@xanga - Ah okay. Makes sense. Hooray for porn then!
@SexyGamerGirl@xanga - hahah
@donspike@xanga - a little boy introduced me to a channel that had porn on it. :-\
I don't know many women who say they watch porn-I only knew of one girl from high school who liked porn
