Sad Statistics: 1 in 3 Men From South Africa Admit to Rape
According to a 2010 study led by the government-funded Medical Research Foundation, out of 487 South African men, more than 37% admitted that they have raped a woman and nearly 7% admitted to participating in gang rape.25% of South African women said they had been raped, but the study notes that only about 1 rape in 25 is reported."Rape is completely trivialized by a great number of men. It is seen as a legitimate activity," said Rachel Jewkes, a lead researcher on both studies.
Out of the 511 women surveyed, more than 51% said they'd experienced violence from men, while 78% of men said they have committed violence against women.
Jewkes also said that apartheid in South Africa has contributed to these stark rape statistics, noting that it destroyed family life, in addition to fostering violence and anti-social behavior.You can read more here.

Not moving to South Africa anytime soon..but that's sad =(
my boyfriend has visited South Africa before, and said it was beautiful there but I think it's especially dangerous, so I don't think I would be going there in the near future.

I live in South Africa from not originally from SA. Just want to tell you that there are residential area where most of the uncivilized people stay, and most of the rape cases happen there. There are many places that are dangerous in SA, but there are still safe places. And to be honest, look at what the population is made up of, there are a huge amount of uneducated people don't even pass grade 8 or 9 or had any education. What SA needs is education of morality.

It's also true that african men are so ignorant that they believe that having sex with a virgin (infant / child) will cure AIDS.
So they rape babies and children (yes infants who sometimes end up dying) because they think it will cure AIDS.
Why do you think a rape condom was invented?
It's because of countries like this- where a woman isn't worth anything even if she HASN'T been raped- but is worthless and shameful once she has been.
