Want To Ask A Girl Out? Get Her To Listen to Romantic Music and Studies Show She's Yours!
For a woman to agree to go on a date with you, she must first have considered the following factors:
1. Looks (they're not everything but they still matter).
2. Cleanliness (personal hygiene is very important).
3. How you carry yourself (personality, manners, does you have wit/sense of humor)?
4. Music
5. Wait what? What did four 4 just say? Hold the phone... let's go back to 4.
It's true that music is in fact a factor in whether or not a woman will say yes or no which brings us too:
6. Timing.
7. Ambiance (music is a part of the ambiance).
In an article from "Time - Healthland" called, "Can background music up the odds of getting a date" by Tiffany O'Callaghan, Tiffany writes about a French study comprised of male and female subjects.
The women would sit in a waiting room that either played love songs or neutral songs in the background; after they stewed in this waiting room for a while listening to whatever genre of music (love or neutral), they were brought to another room. In this other room these women discussed two different food products with an "average man" (a woman, a man, and an experimenter were present). After they discussed the products, the experimenter left the room and asked them to wait in the room for a few minutes until he came back.
During this time, the experimenters found that the man would hit on the woman and eventually ask her out; 52% of the women who listened to the love music said yes, and only 28% percent said yes after listening to the neutral music (these figures were accumulated by the "study authors").
Eighty-seven women were picked for this study and I personally believe that these statistics are accurate; I also believe that this proves that music has a lot to do with whether a woman agrees to date a man (Check the link below to read the whole article in it's entirety).
Hey ladies, as far as you know, do love songs influence your decision to go out on dates?
Hey guys, do you use music to your advantage when trying to ask a woman on a date?

87 is a very low study population...but yeah, it works when you're at the club for sure
Lol. really?
Not really.
Music is different from person to person.
The rest seem a lot more true than number 4.
Boys with acoustic guitars, who can actually play, make me melt. Melt melt melt melt melt. So there could be something to this.
It's definitely easy to believe, however this study "proves" nothing until it has been replicated via other experimenters.
People have different tastes so I can't really judge someone based on music. As long as they appreciate the kind of music I listen to.
I love it when a guy has great taste in music. So I agree.
what is love music to one is nails on a chalkboard to others.
Extreme metal is the true music of love.
80% success rate if you use music. Nice!
That being said, the difficulty is getting women to listen to love or neutral music before making the sales pitch.
@aznsam999@xanga - agreed
@quasarglow@xanga - The Dave Mathews Band must be in your ipod then...
@PseudoEuphoric@xanga - That sure does count, not very good for the ambiance if it's a date... At least that's my opinion.
@ChaoyD@xanga - That makes sense, more studies would definitely hold a lot more proof.
@WhenHateIsTheOnlyOption@xanga - makes sense.
@sastsuki@xanga -
@Thumper49047@xanga - I believe that.
@prettynpink628@xanga - Something like Coal Chamber or something?
@xXDC_luyouXx - Yes sir, getting a woman to listen to such music definitely can be tough.
@Musicishish@xanga - There's no need for silly sarcasm.
I'm referring to the psychology of where the woman has to "emotionally" feel the music before the guy hits on her.
@xXDC_luyouXx - Oh, I was referring to getting the woman so she can be there for the music.
@Musicishish@xanga - Sure, that would work. Admittedly, I was thinking more along the lines of Darkthrone.
@prettynpink628@xanga - hmmmm.... I like women with tatts and a wild side, I have tatts and a wild side. I guess metal can be sexy too...
Can we stop with the "Wait what?" stuff already? Its so old and its dumb. Stop copycatting others.
