What can defeat evil with silky, gyrating hips and cartoon bosoms? That’s right: MAGICAL ANIME STRIPPERS!
Ah the Japanese have done it again. Usually, Japanese shows that air on American television aren't THIS terrifying, but because of shows like Inuyasha (really? A sexy dog demon? All right whatever I totally loved that show...), or, well, all Japanese shows, we've come to expect the ridiculous.
I mean, come on. Their episode titles are like "Run In The Afterlife Goku, The One Million Mile Snake Way!" That's like the longest episode title. Ever.
Anyway, this show is taking the natural Japanese "we're basically the future so deal with it" mentality a tad too far. The scariest thing is that IT'S A REAL THING.
Why it's absolutely crazy:
1. Did that magical Anime stripper just take off her panties and then use them as a weapon? Yes. And the other one's stockings did in fact just turn into a katana.
2. The video didn't mention that they have a pimp named garterbelt. He's a giant black man.
3. This is going to be shown TO CHILDREN. And that cartoon stripper just fondled her vagina and boobies all soft-like. Just because it's a cartoon doesn't make that any less overtly sexual. And I grew up in a place where people were naked all the time, but they weren't fondling themselves (well sometimes gross drunk old men did in the park...).
4. The shows animation flip-flops between super anime and Fairly Odd Parents art style.
5. The villain in this episode looks like the Acid Rain monster from Ferngully.
6. IT IS A SHOW. ABOUT MAGICAL ANIME STRIPPERS. WHO ARE ALSO ANGELS.
Really? Are you that surprised? Anime has weird stuff all the time. This is nothing new to me. I'm quite used to it. This is a nice cup of tea for me.
The only way my mind can process the mindfuck that is this show is by reminding myself it's from Japan. Because this could only come from Japan.
Are you sure it's meant to be shown to children? Not all anime shows are targeted towards children (actually, I would argue that the majority of anime is actually NOT targeted toward children at all).

Okay, So... your information is wrong. It's a show called Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt. This show is NOT for children. It's actually for adults. There is anime for adults, and this so happens to be one of them. Also, Garterbelt isn't their pimp.
And, if you actually look at anime targeted towards little kids, they're pretty freaking innocent and nothing happens in them. They might be a little more risqué than American cartoons because America is filled with stuck up prudes, but even then not by much.

@sara1028 - Yeah, this anime JUST came out and it's already making a big splash in the anime communities. I saw four minutes of it and I wanted to poke my eyes out with my knitting needles. But I digress. I mean there is an anime that came out 6 months ago that was about a girl who wanted to have sex with 100 guys and her quest to go about doing this. Not quite kid stuff. Then there was an anime that came out last year where a whole episode revolved around a guy with a perpetual erection. Fun times.

I'm not surprised that this is a product of Japan. I just came back from shopping in Kobe where they have a shop that sells figurines, some of which have their boobs blatantly exposed. People who rent these glass cases to display their items for sale have unpainted figurines of naked women in all sorts of wonderful poses. There are mousepads of anime women where their boobs serve as gel cushions, body pillows of different characters, posters of adolescent anime girls in compromising positions suggesting lesbianism...the philosophy is that it's okay to fantasize or watch something purely fictional, as long as you don't act on it.
One note: Wikipedia says the manga version of this is targeted towards the 18-30 year-old male audience, so I don't think this anime is for children.
