Help! Should I Take the Morning After Pill?
I had sex for the first time yesterday.
It was without a condom but he didn't ejaculate within me and I've done a lot of research about the morning-after-pill and am wondering if I should take it or not.
Are there are chances of getting pregnant even if he didn't come inside me?
I am only 17.... and the after-effects of the pill can last up to six months, which will interfere with my examinations.
Please give me some advice!

Well, you're wasting time asking us, since you have to take it as soon as possible. Yeah, it's possible to still get pregnant from pulling out... And if you think the side-effects of the pill will affect your exams, imagine how a baby would fuck them up.
I think you should probably take it. Pre-ejaculate is a common occurrence, if not normal, and contains some amount of sperm.
You're an idiot. Get some contraception like a good girl or stop having sex.
@SeeBeeWrite@xanga - True. If you've wasted time asking this on the internet, it may already be past the time of efficiency.
@bonezzzzzz@xanga - Agreed. If you have exams so close to the present, why didn't you use a condom? Pulling out is a poor birth control method.
If you get pregnant, you've only yourself to blame.
if in doubt,
take it. would you rather take the pill or get pregnant?
also, i'm not one to just randomly recommend taking pills (i'm very anti-pill) but i also do not endorse abortion, so take the pill now and save yourself LOTS of trouble in the future.
also, look up a thing called 'pre-cum' - YES YOU CAN GET PREGNANT EVEN IF HE DOESN'T EJACULATE IN YOU.
If you've had to ask yourself these questions... you were probably not ready to have sex in the first place to be honest with you, but I won't get into that, since others have done that better already. In this case I'd suggest being better safe than sorry, although you've already crossed that bridge by not using a condom. Ugh. It's better to have the morning afterpill interfere with your examinations than say.... a newborn? duh.
Honestly, I think you'll be fine if you dont take it. But if it'll help you feel better, there's no harm in taking it.
Sweetie, I would say take it. But I would also say why would you agree to do it with a guy who didn't care to put a condom on and then let yourself become all paranoid about pregnancy? Did you learn nothing in sex ed?
what side effects of the pill are you so worried about effecting your exams?! Like being pregnant won't effect them more?!
Just cut out the middle man and get on WIC/Foodstamps just to piss us tax payers off a little bit more because of people like you. Sorry, that was rude, but I had to vent.
You're only 17 and you have the chance for a very bright future ahead of you. Accordingly, don't let a guy get near you without a condom. If he refuses to wear one, he's not worthy of you. If you don't require a guy to wear one, you're asking for trouble. I say take Plan B and get on the pill. Sex is awesome, but you have to be responsible about it.
There still is a chance that you will get pregnant. I would take it.
Six months of side effects is nothing compared to a baby for nine months or even for the rest of your life.I have to agree with a lot of what others have already said. If you have to ask these questions, you shouldn't be having sex. Do your research before hand. You're young. Don't let one mistake ruin your life.
take it, take it take it.
pulling out is NOT an effective means of birth control. semen can leek out of the penis at any time.
you will feel a lot better mentally if you do, and even though there is a good chance you won't get preggers, taking the pill will help a lot.
from now on, though, WRAP IT UP.
YES you should take the pill because even if he didn't ejaculate inside of you, there's something called PRE cum >:(
if you WERE lucky enough to not be pregnant, there's still no harm in taking the pill.
i'm telling you, DEFINITELY TAKE THE PILL.
and next time, USE A CONDOM or get some sort of protection.
Well darling, the after-effects of pregnancy can last up to nine months.
Also, I've NEVER heard of that in relation to the morning after pill. It's literally the equivalent of about two regular birth control pills. Take it, if only for your own piece of mind. Go to Planned Parenthood to get it, they'll give you CONDOMS as well.
There's always a possibility. I've never gotten pregnant by that method, but I am on birth control. So if you're not on birth control and you're worried, get it. And make him pay for half of it! Not to mention, if you don't get it, the stress of worrying can possibly make your period late and then you'll be even more stressed because you'll think you're pregnant.
Honestly, I say you're an idiot for not using a condom or any type of contraception your first time. In this day and age, young teens are getting pregnant all the time and you couldn't even think of being protected? What if it wasn't his first time? What if you catch an STD? These are things you should be worrying about, not your exams. If you can't handle being responsible for yourself, what makes you think you'll be responsible to take care of yourself AND a baby?
You need to consider the risks before going into an act such as this with so many consequences. If you're smart enough to look up the research for the morning after pill, you should research sex in general. The morning after pill is expensive, a baby is exponentially more expensive.
All in all, I wish the best for you. Still, you should be smarter than this. Learn to make decisions for yourself. Don't rely on the datingish community for a problem you should be solving yourself.
You can most certainly get pregnant without him ejaculating inside you. Ever heard of precum? Granted, the percentage is small but I'd go take the pill.
Next time use a condom and get yourself of birth control too. Either way, always use a condom. It's not just for pregnancy, it's to prevent STDs too.
The distracting side effects that come with taking the pill may last for several months. But you will worry about a possible pregnancy if you do not take the pill. While you may use a pregnancy kit to eliminate uncertainty, the kits typically work best within five (5) days of your next period. This means that you will not know whether you are pregnant until you are close to your cycle. The uncertainty is particularly stressful if you have an irregular cycle.
Worrying about a pregnancy until your next cycle (which may last for up to a month) is probably more disruptive to your studies than the day-after side effects. You would probably be better off with peace of mind and a few side-effects than the stress that comes from uncertainty.
In addition, taking the pill will probably an easier, less expensive alternative than an abortion. In essence, you are paying $50-$90 dollars for peace of mind, which goes a long way in performing well on examinations.
You need to take the pill within 48 hours and no, the after effects only last for 2 days at the most... the first day being the worst.
after effects? there are none.
take the damn pill..Also, the new plan-B pills can be used up to three days after sex. Not really the "day-after" pill anymore... guess it's more like a "days-after" pill.
"With Plan B® One-Step, you have up to 72 hours (3 days) to prevent a pregnancy. Plan B® One-Step is not the abortion pill and it isn’t a substitute for routine birth control."

if you're asking a blogging site, you probably shouldn't be doing it. !!!!
@radicalsounds@xanga - lol, actually the after effects last your entire life.
@alexinquired@xanga - uhhhhhhh.
yeah there are. there's plenty.
give you some advice?
use a gdamn condom.
when i took it, i had no side effects.
for my friend, she just felt sick for a few days.
just take it to be safe..
