  • I Hate Girls Who Take Their Boyfriends or Hubbies Shopping

    THINGS THAT PISS ME OFF:

#1 Women who take their men shopping.

Seriously. Is there ever a need to take your boyfriend/husband SHOPPING with you?

I don't care if he slept with your mom. Cut off his balls, or something! Screw his dad to get him back. Be more humane than taking the poor fool to stare at dresses.

Did anyone ever do something so wrong that it constituted having to watch you try on shoes!?

You are ASKING for some strongly worded letters from Amnesty International, if you think it's an OK practice. Christ, you are giving Kim Jong-Il ideas!

WHY is he there? WHY is your boyfriend clothes shopping with you? WHAT does he add to the experience? Sour faces and thoughts of "Man. I wish I had a better girlfriend"?
Or inane comments like, "Yeah, just buy that one! Cos I want to leave this hell hole!." and "Wow, that makes your bum appear less big"?

Because ladies... he is lying for sex and peace (in that order). At some point in his life he learned that 'doing things I don't want to that she insists upon... WILL get me laid.' Don't prostitute yourself by accepting his sacrifice as sex currency!

Or let's imagine you take him shopping because you genuinely admire his brutal honesty and his, "Hell, that makes you look like a whale, sunshine!" approach... then what the hell are you doing with that douche in the first place!? Find a man that adores you for whatever he is lucky enough to see you in. Simple as that.

I swear... if I ever felt the need to take my boyfriend shopping? I'd understand if he cheated on me. No questions asked.

    "You cheated on me!?"
"Yeah... Well... YOU MADE ME SHOP FOR BAGS WITH YOU!"
    "Touché!"

OK. Let's imagine for a moment that you have a man who enjoys watching you shop. And who doesn't do it for sex, or peace... Can't you stop for a second and think of the selfish discomfort you are unleashing on your fellow female shoppers, by having him shop with you?

Ladies shops are small enough as it is. They DON'T need your 6-foot-something Football-playing boyfriend wedged in the aisles as uncomfortably as a constipated turd in a rectum, to shit all over everybody else's shopping experience.

Even if your boyfriend is small... he is going to be getting in other shoppers' ways. Because that is what men are programmed to do in women's clothes shops.

If I am out bargain hunting and I see some inanimate dude parked in front of the shoes I am trying to perv on, then I quite frankly wish you both instant death. Preferably death by disintegration, so I don't have to step over your inconvenient corpses to get to the sales rack. (Though it would be just like you to be as selfish in death as you were in life...)

PLEASE tell me I'm not the only one who is pissed off by this!

This may be totally shocking, but some guys ...like shopping. I know! Crazy! Do a little shopping for both of you, don't be all the-mall-is-all-about-me.

  • ConfusionwithaK11@xanga

I didn't know someone could get so worked up over shopping.

  • fairiesmythsdragons@xanga

Hahaha. I guess in a way, taking a guy shopping is like forcing some girls (like me) to watch sports with you. We're both thinking, "Okay, let's just get this over with..." Although I guess you can't really say that with all guys. My boyfriend actually doesn't mind going shopping with me. He thinks it's cute. LOL. :P And of course, there are definitely girls out there who love watching sports with their man.

  • TruthOfRain@xanga

How about the poor girl who hates shopping and her boyfriend makes her go shopping?? Yeah, that was me.

  • XoPinkHeart@xanga

Is not that serious. Lol, I like to have my boyfriend's opinion when I shop. =p

  • lilblucherrygrl@xanga

Well I never take my boyfriend clothes shopping, especially if it's just for me. That is just stupid. Unless he has great taste and helps you pick out great clothes. But that is so friggin rare...

If my bf and I are ever out clothes shopping together it's usually for him because he wants my advice on what looks good on him. That is about it.

  • MattFreakinNix@xanga

I have no problems whatsoever with shopping with my girlfriend. It does that help that her clothes consists literally of Ross and Hot Topic, but, in general, I like helping her pick out clothes. It really isn't nearly the big deal you're making it out to be.

  • holdthekeys@xanga

i got shopping with my boyfriend sometimes, but it's always for him. he likes help picking out clothes, and making sure someone else agrees it fits. better than taking his mom along :p

  • Murphy_Rants@xanga

    LOL!
My boyfriend considers it an asset that I'm never going to ask him to go shopping with me. I typically do that by myself, rarely with friends.
Even if I were a social shopper I couldn't imagine taking a guy, especially someone like my boyfriend who has little to no interest in shopping, with me to the mall.

  • Btrfly_Wngs@xanga

I've never had any problems either. I have always been with guys  like shopping or they like spending time with me and don't mind doing something I enjoy even if they don't necessarily like it. I'm the same way though. I will go watch a movie in a genre I don't like just because I know he'll enjoy it, and I want to spend time with him.

  • SexyGamerGirl@xanga

My boyfriend takes me shopping. Not all guys hate shopping.

  • KerrSull

It's really not that big of a deal. Guys don't complain when I show up in the theater for their Bruce Willis movies (face it ladies-- those aren't meant for us). It's a little give and take. Cool your jets, doll. We all have bigger fish to fry than worrying about a juicehead getting in our way while we look for a new pair of jeans.

  • Daniella_Aalyiah_Li@xanga

My boyfriend takes me shopping, he doesn't mind at all, actually he will initiate the whole shopping trip. Why? Idk lol. And its for both of us, not just me...

  • WiredInspired@xanga

I'm sure this post is going to get super flamed...

But I thought it was hilarious.
  • Hinase@xanga

Actually my dad loves to shop..you'll find him constantly at the mall with that said..there's that funny story where he accidentally bumped into my aunt at Macys a long time ago. Lol

My bf actually takes me shopping..not all men hate it.  My bf could care less what we do because we always enjoy whatever we're doing...And I always do things he likes...as well..
  • xraindropsonroses@xanga

"Even if your boyfriend is small... he is going to be getting in other shoppers' ways. Because that is what men are programmed to do in women's clothes shops."

AHAHA, okay, that sentence is hillarious. But I completely dissagree with you, I think it is adorable when girlfriends go shopping with their SO. I don't think that all women necessarly take their SO shopping with them, maybe their SO actually wanted to come with them?
Plus, who takes their boyfriend shopping as an act of punishment??

  • phuck_diz_shiz@xanga

My boyfriend loves taking me shopping and spoiling me
HE PICKS OUT MY OUTFIT** , WAIT FOR ME TO TRY IT ON, AND THEN BUYS THEM FOR ME
We go shopping together bi-weekly.  I would help him pick out his shoes / clothes too

  • yarnballs@xanga

uhhh me and my bf go to the mall together. he likes shopping too... granted he likes all the shoestores like champs, footlocker and footaction sometimes he'll also look around in the guys section of Aldo, Forever 21 and Macys when we both go to those stores. its like not i make him hold my purse.

i really only agree with you when the guy jus follows the girl around and looks up at the ceiling and looks at his watch and nods his head a couple times when she holds something up.
  • lightandfaith@xanga

I love shopping with ex-girlfriends. Don't assume so much, eh?

  • Journ3y@xanga

This was a hilariously over-the-top post! I'm one who doesn't mind shopping in general, except for clothes and major grocery shopping. They are both torture, energy-sapping, and, yes, I can't wait to get out of there!

  • SaMoAnTeiNe00@xanga
  • Victoriamisu@xanga

@phuck_diz_shiz@xanga - yea agreed. My exes have all done that too.
esp the spoiling part, though for me it got kinda annoying haha ><

sometimes they'd bring up shopping. I don't really like shopping too much, but they liked it.They didn't shop for themselve,s though

  • Wait_by_Moonlight@xanga

    I enjoy your...enthusiasm, but I myself thought it a little over-the-top.

  • mz_d0rkabl3@xanga

uhh maybe he loves me and he doesn't mind shopping with me as long as we're spending time together? It's about compromise, he comes shopping with me, and I watch his nerdy tv shows with him. I feel that you are over-generalizing your own experiences

  • NeoSoul20@xanga

Wtf. A boyfriend as your shopping buddy is cute. I mean, at least he wouldn't lie about looks right and what doesn't look right.

I use to try to get my boyfriend to go shopping with me, but to him "bright colors kill him" so he would wait outside while I finish shopping.

But overall...I would much rather go shopping by myself.
