A New Online Dating Website Only for Ugly People
We all know that hot people have the upper hand when it comes to Match.com. So what if you're not so...genetically gifted? In the UK, you can self-diagnose yourself with the uglies and sign up for The Ugly Bug Ball, a dating site designed for people just like you.
TheUglyBugBall.co.uk specifically excludes "anyone who is overtly pretty or attractive."
The site's creator, Howard James, a multimillionaire entrepreneur from Mayfair, London, told the Sun: "It's a sad fact that up to half of the UK is made up of ugly people yet amazingly nobody has ever thought of providing a dating service for them." That's kind of hilarious.
And it's working: the site launched on Monday, and already 1,500 people have joined. Whoa!

I would think it would be a den of either insecurity or people tremendously honest with themselves and still self-assured. I'm not sure how I would feel about the couples that would be made there, is what I'm saying. Insecurity is already a big enough thing- it feels like this website preys on that insecurity, and mates it with more of the same.

Haha, I don't think this is a bad idea. As they say, "one person's trash is another person's treasure." Society might have ingrained in certain people that they are "ugly," but perhaps through this site they will find other people who think they are beautiful.
as if somebody actually thought it was clever to create something like this! i think this is offensive and the people that join for serious reasons obviously have low self esteem. a website like this is just promoting people to come forward and admit their flaws, which is wrong.
Weird lol. But if people aren't insecure to sign up for it, then why not?

have you actually looked at the website? the 'users' are mostly false profiles and the serious ones make me sad to think they are actually explioting themselves in this manner.
i checked out the site, i actually found some really attractive guys on there. i think the '5 reasons' listed on the site are kind of offensive. but i think the idea was cool if it wasnt degrading, if you were in that position and happened to live in the uk... it would mean less competition....
but i like to believe everyones on the same playing field, because realistically, any two people can fall in love. its not a beauty contest, it just can be. for some people.
What's the difference? Most women on other dating sites look like pigs anyway...or are used up 40 year old women.

If so, this would relieve other dating sites from all the immense traffic that they usually receive. Because I see lots of uggos and fatties on dating sites.

Plus even if these people are all ugly, they all British accents! Literally, any british person can come here and get 120938140918234823529835 men/women easy. And yes, they're so attractive that the number of humans on earth had to increase.

Whaaaat? Go check the website out. If the persons profile is not fake, then the person is actually pretty pretty, or handsome. Or had the potential to be at least.
I mean, I guess it's kinda cool that there's a dating service for "ugly" people, but isn't beauty in the eye of the beholder or whatever?
