The other day, I stumbled upon this topic on AskStudent. It was about what to expect the first time you have sex. Don't ask how I got to this article, I'm really not sure. Especially since my first time was a long, long, long, long- ok you get the idea. It was a while ago.
The article itself was fairly informative and pretty factual. My need to scream, yell, pound the desk and in general throw a fit happened when I started reading the comments. Maybe I am too old, but some of these kids, yes, kids seemed too young to be on a computer much less having sex.
I can't go over all of them (feel free to read for yourself if you need reason to pull your hair out), but I wanted to point out a few that MIGHT indicate the person commenting is too young for sex. Just might be.

If your major concern is your upcoming holiday and how having sex might ruin that, then um, perhaps you should just wait until you realize there are more important things to worry about.

There's all kinds of wrong in this one. Where to even begin. A 17 year old has no business with a 12 year old. Period. That's first. Second...if you think saying no to sex means he'll break up with you, then you should break up with him. He's an ass. You are 12 and he's an ass, walk away. No, run away.

You are NOT ready just because someone says you are. *shudders* And having sex with someone doesn't mean you'll love them for ever and ever. And if you don't know that, then you my dear, are too young for sex.

OH gosh, that's kind of scary ._. Sex has turned from a passionate sharing of love between two lovers to just a recreation or a hobby.

None of those kids should be having sex yet. You can tell by the way they write, that they aren't mature enough for the consequences.

i'm way disturbed, i didn't even know what sex was or how to do it when i was that age. i mean i knew of sex but never wanted to try it out.

Those responses were kinda stupid..who cares if you can't type write, that doesn't mean you aren't ready to have sex. You aren't ready to have sex if you are questioning whether or not you should, or whether or not you're ready. If you don't know than you probably aren't ready and should wait until the moment feels right. I do think that anything under 17 is too young to be having sex though, but maybe that's just me.
Gah. Freaky. But for the record, "falling" pregnant is a colloquialism that may not be used as much in the US anymore, but I think is still used in the UK. It used to be used everywhere all the time.
a 17 year old having sex with a 12 year old is really disturbing.
12 is still a child. 17 is almost an adult. That should be illegal, if it's not already.
I am mostly disturbed that the first guy doesn't even know how to use condom, yet at the same time, out of all these kids, is probably the only one that will.

When I see things like that I like to think that someone is just fooling around writing stupid entries to freak people out. Unfortunately, that's most likely not the case. These are more then disturbing...

Wow. That IS disturbing. It's definitely not just you. Especially the one with the 12 & 17 year old, and the last one! He's going to push her to do it anyway? Wtf?? Isn't that called RAPE? Kids are having sex wayyy before they're ready/mature enough for it. And they're having it younger and younger. It's so sad!
