Basically the situation has come down to this:
I think we, that is to say, my SO and I have great chemistry. However, I can't tell if he's enjoying it as much as I do. When I say it, I mean the fellatio that I give him. I've heard that when men are really into it, they moan and make other various noises, and they move around. That's at least what I do, when my SO is down on me. It's not to say that I orgasm, but I definitely enjoy it. It seems to be the opposite for him though - The most I can tell if he's enjoying it or not is when he breathes loudly, however he never fails to reach an orgasm. But that's the only sign I ever get from him.
I've asked him if there's anything more I can do, but he says he enjoys it immensely and since he is my first partner in this, he is my only experience. I'm utterly clueless as to what to think.
Thoughts? Do you think all men need to show signs that show they enjoy whatever sexual activity you do to them, or is it possible that they sometimes can enjoy it more quietly?

He could just be silent, dude. Silent orgasms do exist.
FALSE. Noise is an option. Both women, and men who live with their parents and jack off into tube socks, know this.
If noise is a turn on for you, tell him!
If there was no such thing as a silent O, I could never get away with masturbating as often as I do. I dont think you need to worry about it, if he says he's enjoying it. I agree with @vixen_with_a_cause@lovelyish - if noise would turn you on, then just let him know.
@vixen_with_a_cause@lovelyish - You got it! :)p
my ex was totally silent. i mean his breathing would change but he wasn't a loud lay. its possible to have a silent o. you can always tell him noise is a turn on, and i'm sure he'd moan away.
If you're down there for him, trust me when I say he's enjoying it. If he wasn't enjoying it, he wouldn't orgasm. It's sex... of course he's enjoying it.
Since we were doing it while the roommate was sleeping on the top bunk, silence was kind of the only option.
For me, there is no such thing. LOL.
Even when I'm trying my hardest to be quiet, some noise escapes. It feels so much better when I don't have to keep myself quiet.
My guy is really quiet though. But, I can tell by other things. He will make occasional noise but mostly he'll start gripping my hair a lot.
False. They happen. I'd know.
False! Orgasms can be silent... even if most of mine aren't. I've had one or two silent ones (only because I was really trying hard to be quiet). They were definitely, unmistakably orgasms, but I wasn't yelling or gasping very loudly. My husband, when we first married, was silent except for heavy breathing. Now, especially when it is very good, he can make some noise. I told him sounds are sexy to me and he didn't need to be quiet around me but I told him not to force himself to if it wasn't natural. Little sounds do help me know what feels most awesome to him at the moment. It took a while for him to make his happy manly sounds but he does now. As people become more comfortable around each other it can be easier to let that kind of thing out.
Gave my first boyfriend a roadjob for the first time, a few nights ago.. They say that a man is usually silent, and the only way for his partner to know he's enjoying it is when his breathing becomes rapid and heavy.. or when he grunts or growls.. if his face is funny looking, and when he ejaculates. If he smiles or kids around afterwards, it's most likely a sure sign he's enjoyed what you've given him.
my ex was COMPLETELY quiet when it came to sex. it relaly confused me honestly.
My boyfriend grunts and breaths heavier. I had an ex that used to make high pitched moaning whimper noises (WTF). I prefer the heavy breathing/grunting.
I think I've trained myself to become louder when I come. It actually turns me on more...but if I have to be quiet, than I can. You can usually tell when I'm close if I alternate between holding my breath and breathing out very quickly.
I can't stand obnoxiously loud for personal encounters or in porn lol the best part is seeing his eyes roll to the back of his head as he sighs even if it is silent, I can feel his breath sighing and that turns me on. I prefer a medium tone moaning from him. I've had silent orgasms with no screaming, just heavy breathing, but some noises sometimes still escape
I know my boyfriend enjoys sex, but he tends to be pretty quiet. He'll throw the occasional compliment or sexy comment out every once and a while, but for the most part he's just a heavy breather.
i don't think you should hold up "what everyone else does" as the standard for one individual's body and behavior. I am pretty quiet, myself, and it freaks people out "don't you like this? blah blah blah" "What, do i have to fake a bunch of noise? noo thanks..."
if he says he likes it, take it at face value. who better to trust than him? I really hate the way everyone assumes that everyone is sexual in the exact same way even though no other part of our body is uniform throughout the population. Some people are quiet, some aren't. Some orgasm easily, some don't. Some like masturbation, some don't. etc, etc
wow we are so the same! I am, in a word, a screamer. My husband's breathing doesn't even noticeably changed. I felt like it was no big deal at first and then it really started bothering me. I told him, in the form of an insecure, "Am I that bad?" so he started making noise. He is an AWFUL actor though and it was so different for me that I was literally completely turned off by his well meant dramatics. So I told him to stop, unless he wanted too of course. So now he is silent and all, but I have realized, the way he can't get enough is message enough--he loves it.
My boyfriend and I have sex often, and he is the same way: very quiet, while I will moan and what have you. Afterwards, he tells me how amazing I am, how much he just enjoyed the sex, how good I am in bed, so on and so forth. I always figured he was just flattering me, but I'm starting to think that he's just a quiet one.
My boyfriend is pretty quiet. He's usually just a heavy breather.
Don't be so concerned about it. jeeeeze
whenever we need to be quiet we're quiet but its fun not to keep it only inside the mind :p. I feel that girls tend to be louder than guys.. idk tho :p
Why didn't I know that orgasms can be silent?
I've always had the ultimate ending in the end but because I thought there needed to be some noise, and some bodily fluids. So, did I have an orgasm ever?Whenever I gave my ex oral, he would orgasm but he wouldn't make much noise. His breathing would get a little harder, but that's about it.
Based off of personal experience, guys aren't as vocal as girls.I usually go from loud, to moderate, to basically silent right before I orgasm, then after the peak I make a lot of noise. One of my boyfriends would make noise when I'd go down on him, but not very loud noises. He also did not make very much noise when he would orgasm. A different guy makes noise when he orgasms though. It is different for everyone.
My boyfriend's orgasms are totally silent. And I know he's had an orgasm because I see the semen in the condom when he's done. I know everyone else already said it, but it's possible to have silent orgasms.
My ex was completely silent during sex, and he would just stare at me, like he was concentrating, I mean, I get it, but it was just strange. I can't get my current boyfriend to shut up, but I freaking love it, because he says my name and other things that turn me on so much.
