We all know what happened to Cinderella right? Poor girl meets a prince and marries him and lives happily ever after.
This story, although a very popular fairytale and often much used in contemporary romantic novels, doesn't always happen in real life but then just a few days ago it did.
Well, in reverse-- Princess Victoria of Sweden, who will soon become the Queen of Sweden, married a commoner named Daniel Westling. He owns a gym and was the princess' personal trainer. It was how they met and eventually fell in love. Romantic, right?
How about you guys, ever dreamed of marrying a real-life royal blood, if so who was it?image source

I never wanted to marry a prince. I never even saw it as an option.
Not something I think of often.
Crown Princess Victoria is an amazing woman, I am proud to say she will one day be my queen. Daniel held the most beautiful speech at the wedding, that ended with "Love is everything, and Victoria, I love you so." Ooooh I get goosebumps just thinking about it. Such a nice couple
I'm already going to marry my own prince someday =)) So why dream of royalty?
I'm not sure it works the same way in the minds of men. Sure, clearly it happens but for most of, it's an inferiority thing.
I would never want to be royalty, or marry into it.. ever.
That'd be kinda sweet. But I'm a city girl already married to a cowboy.
Only if I get some hot-ass concubines.
Awww. And to think, I'm sure he never imagined he'd marry a client - let alone a princess - and she never imagined she'd marry her own trainer. People meet in the strangest of ways. Good for them!
Yucky, I stay away. What happens is that these kind of people have developed morals and all the other people abuse me then one has to come running in to save me and this ends up jacking up my pit in Hell. Of course, I haven't dealt with royalty before, just the scattered remains of decaying ash. I've dealt with important people because I was the one sacrificed to do events at one job I had, and that ended up hurting me as well as a position in a strolling string arrangement in school because I was short and a good corner piece, but I was grossly a minority, so I stood out. I simply can't win with these type of folk but we crossed often in my beginning adult years. It happens because I'm inferior and less threatened by the interaction, but I think life would run smoother if people in school would come over and do that stuff since it was more their field. I don't like being remembered, not that I am, and I'm so weird that I am enough to be annoying or one half will remember. It was like, I'm a janitor. This happened to me in school as well because I used to win awards all of the time because I get stressed to do that for survival then I was like the child star in Hell.
The US media is so annoying. Yes, the guy is technically a commoner but he's the owner of the chain of gyms (and happens to also be a personal trainer for members of the royal family), which makes him an entrepreneur. Obviously he has no royal blood, but the US media brings him down so much
I can imagine somebody having a superficial attraction to a Royal, just cos he/she is attractive or quite wealthy. But marrying a Royal seems like a total pain in the arse, unless you're already well-versed in the art of waving and public appearances and handling scandals gracefully and what not.
And if you're a "commoner", it could cause some tension. I think a middle-aged prince of Monaco got engaged recently, and his future wife will be the first lady of Monaco - meaning that his sister who has assumed that role for quite some time will have to back off. And if he ends up producing a male heir, his nephew (the very same sister's son) will not be able to ascend to the throne. All cos of some regular old person. Awkward.ahhh, to marry into royalty. i'm a sucker for period pieces and i've always imaged being a badass queen back in the day. i'm sure it's very hard to gain respect as a commoner though
Marrying into royalty might appeal to some people but, not me. I like to live a life where I'm not constantly be judge nor trap. Also, I don't want to be around stuck ups and seeing rich people abusing their powers.
Well if he was the personal trainer to the royal family and heir to the throne, he's not exactly common then is he?
I watched their wedding live :) It was cute, my mom was all tearful, almost embarrassing :P
Awwww, I kind of would want to marry a prince. I mean I think it would be romantic but it would be a lot of take on.
They are so adorable together.
well, a gym owner doesn;t sound too bad in a place like sweden where everyne has a gym membership
