I Want a Xanga Crush!
After reading Xanga Crush , and hearing about the Xanga Wedding broadcasted (I forget who it was, but Congrats!) I begin to wonder why haven't I stumbled upon a Xanga Crush? I never really got into the "community aspect" until recently mostly because people started commenting me and I would go to their blog and feel like everything they wrote was as if it came from something I could read but these were all girls pretty much. Here's a short list of what I would want in a Xanga Crush!
Funny: This is tough, not arrogant funny, not to dirty funny - playful funny
Location, Location: Now, I suppose if I was to pursue a relationship I would want to live close, but I've always wanted to date someone from the South (the accent, respect, charming, ...mm),I'm from New England though and do love some regular ol' New England guys.
Gentlemen Qualities: My girl friends crucify me for this but hey, don't me blame me, blame one of my ex-es. I like a guy who opens doors and is polite. I don't really consider it gentlemen just respectful.
Religion: Until recently, I've never considered religion as a do all or end all for dating. But hey, I'm naive and until recently never really understood that their are people who don't believe in a higher being (What can I say, I was sheltered) but that is a necessity to me I think someone who believes in a higher being is more humble to say the least.
So where are the Xanga men? :)
Would you pursue a connection you found on Xanga?
Do you consider it more intimate sometimes than a Dating site?

Im from NE lol.
I can dress up like a guy with an accent. Serious.
I wouldn't worry about it so much. (Personally, I consider Xanga Crushes more of a playful thing than anything, since I highly doubt I'd pursue a relationship with a woman who wasn't near where I am [which right now means the San Antonio area]...and at that moment only two female Xangans I know even fit that bill [and one of them's an ex I'd never even consider again {she followed me onto Xanga...}].) Anyhow, they come and go, and never when you're looking for 'em.
I certainly think it's an interesting concept. I'm not sure if I'd ever date someone I had never met in person, but if you really connect in words/virtually, and obviously neither of you is a creeper, it's possible.
i don;t have a xanga crush i do have a huge crush on charlieissocoollike though. :P
@lonelystrangergirl@xanga - perfect! offical xanga crush haha
I pursued one. And have been in a relationship with her for over 6 months and counting. :D
YESSSSH!!!
my ex roommate, who i met on xanga (but we went to the same university), recently got engaged to her boyfriend, who she had also met on xanga lol.she was obviously big on the whole community thing...
Haha, thank you for linking my post onto here :)
I do have a Xanga Crush, but I haven't been able to tell that Xangan yet :(
haha, good luck finding him
Yes. I did tell her eventually. But she is on a different continent so it will be awhile before we get around to actually meeting in person.
Humility comes from understanding just how insignificant you are in compared to the nearly limitless universe we live in. Awareness of oneself and of the world in which they live does wonders to enlighten and make humble. Much more so than the religious who believe that their beliefs make them more worthy of being saved from some possible cataclysmic end the religious fanatics will most likely contribute to as some sort of self fulfilling prophecy. Nothing more arrogant than someone saying my views are better than yours. Wiser to respect someone who finds their own answers rather than accepting the common practice or belief.
I definitely would be hesitant to pursue a relationship started over Xanga, simply because people can be very different online than in person, and pursuing obviously means converting that "online" relationship into a "person-to-person" one.
Nevertheless, I have found my interactions on Xanga to be deeper and more profound than most other interactions.
i have one
I've dated 2 guys from Xanga. One was great, one was awful.
definitely think it's better than any dating sites out there...do I have a xanga crush? hmm...not sure but there are some girls I am curious about...maybe if we get to know each other better. and regardless where we meet (on xanga or in person), if there's a connection, I would like to pursue.
@AdFever@xanga - Someone you meet in person could be the complete opposite of who they really are, too. Weather you meet a stranger online or in person, they are still strangers. So I think its the same risk. Just wanted to point that out.
I want a xanga crush, too.
;)
i don't know...
I love the beach, live in SWMich, enjoy reading, drinking and cooking. My accent isn't necessarily southern but more from the area of "bad english." Bi-racial, have a three legged cat named Tripod (no joke), plays the drums, pool, and yes, I am a grocer.
Wow that felt worse than applying to McDonalds! lol jk Good luck with the search.
@treebranch_hair@xanga - I agree with you on that. My concern generally stems from the cases of girls meeting strange men online, but who knows maybe I'll meet a perfectly nice, pleasant girl who's really a serial killer.
Still, I hate when people aren't who they say they are, because it really makes judging compatibility more complicated.
I am very definitely from the South
I want a xanga crush... I rarely notice guys on xanga.. the ones I do aren't single.. *shrug*
