My Next Summer Reading Book: New Moan
I hate Twilight.
There, I said it. I hate Twilight. I hate the books, I hate the movies, I hate the posters, I hate the message, I violently and intensely dislike it all.
As a proud lover of the supernatural and sci fi, I resent Meyer for almost making me resent the very things I love-- the action, the vamps, the mythological heroes, love stories.
So, thank you, Urban Outfitters, to introducing me to this parody of the immensely popular "saga." This, I actually might purchase.

I am reading this..:D I ordered it Friday, and I really can't wait. I'm debating getting one for some TwiHard friends of mine...I don't know if they will actually get its a parody.
Nightlight is another parody. So awesomely hilarious. :D

Oh man. Sounds so good. Sadly though, I hate Urban Outfitters almost as much as I hate Twilight. Thank goodness for B&N!
Not sure I'd go as far as to read this, still being a tad too feminine for my taste, but I usually like parodies.
If anybody else is a fan of them, check out The Soddit by A. R. R. R. Roberts. The Hobbit is one of my all time favorites and this parody had me in stitches.
My Immortal, if that counts. If you like Harry Potter or Harry Potter fan fiction, you'll love this awful story.

im so glad i found someone else sensible who abhors this twilight nonsense! i picked up the book in the store to read the back when it first came out years ago and i put it down before i got past the 3rd line. no lie.
Everyone beat me to mentioning Nightlight, so I 3rd it, because that book really is hilarious.
Good to see someone took it to a literary level for a parody.
As for this summer, I'm jumping on the late-train and finally getting around to Freakonomics. Hald way through and it's amazing. I'll probably end up re-reading the Hitchhiker's Guide series as well.
