  • Leann Rimes Swears She's Not a Home Wrecker

Let's imagine two people. Both married. They happen upon one another and begin a secret (bot not so secret as they were caught kissing on camera) affair. They both divorce their spouses and begin a relationship together.

Now let's look at the definition of home wrecker:

Ok there is no technical definition for "home wrecker" in the dictionary. But we can imagine it's pretty close to the aforementioned scenario. Am I right or am I right?

In Leann Rimes and Eddie Cibrian's case, there were two homes. And then both were wrecked. Yet Rimes insists that that label cannot be used in this situation. That there were problems in her marriage before Eddie came along and put the nail in the marital coffin. She says, "The hardest thing to hear is someone call either of us a home wrecker because we didn't walk into a perfectly happy marriage and ruin it."

This just leads me to ask one question: What defines a home wrecker?

If both parties are at fault, is it a home-wrecking situation? We usually link this word to one person coming into someone's life and causing a rift in their existing relationship. But it does take two to tango, doesn't it? Leann Rimes has my head spinning!

Can you define a home wrecker? Do Leann and Eddie fall under that category?
