An extremely pissed-off Brooklyner papers her neighborhood with homemade flyers of a man who has cheated on her. Apparently, fuming on a Xanga blog or registering him on Cheaterregistry.com just wasn't cutting it for her. An excerpt from the flyer reads:
"Beware of me ... I haven't had a job in decades. Matter of fact look at my résumé it is a complete figment of my imagination. What's worse, I'm a man of 44 years with no job and no women so I use women to survive. I met a woman who gave me everything I wanted and needed. When I had no food, she fed me, when I had no roof, she made her home my own..."
I find it all funny, ridiculous and horrifying all at the same time. If every word is true the girl can't be sued for slander or defamation and I'm not saying that the guy doesn't deserve it, but that is a sharp knife of revenge she's got there! I applaud her creativity and her willingness to go that far, but I was wondering if our very own Datingish Readers would exact revenge over a heartbreak?

It really depends on how the break-up went haha! If it's good (doesn't have to be mutual) then nah I won't. But say if the girl cheated on me or did other stuff then I'd probably try to get back at her haha! =X

We don't know what actually happened or if she's speaking the truth. What if he cheated on her because she was giving him hell, and sneered at him all the time for needing support, mocked him and berated him all the time like some sort of psycho? We don't know what his side of the story is just yet.

Revenge, while fun in the moment, doesn't really get you anywhere. I mean, sure, I could call up the guy one of my ex's is dating now, tell him how she cheats and dumps, but it's not worth my time. Considering the same ex, I could make a couple phone calls to one of her parents' employers and put them on the street (or, at least, greatly damage the career of one parent while unquestionably costing them their job of the past 20+ years). but if I did that...what kind of scumbag would I be?
Even if an ex is complete trash...that's no reason for me to become like her.

Judging by what you have said of the man, I have been in the same boat. I did nothing though, I figured him dating someone who's job frequently asked "would you like fries with that" and wasn't going any where with their life was revenge enough.
