  • 4 Movies You and Your SO Should See This June

Wondering what movies you should see this summer? My boyfriend hates chick flicks and I dislikes most of them too, because a lot of them just aren't good. I don't do slashers. He's not big on period pieces. We don't want to see mindless action movies or thrillers with a lack of character development, either. So what is left? Here are some good movies that both you and your SO will enjoy. Notice Twilight is absent.

    1. The movie guaranteed to be a hit

Get Him to the Greek (June 4) (above)

Jonah Hill (Knocked Up, Super Bad) is an intern who must get rock god Russell Brand (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) to L.A. for the first stop on a concert tour. Knowing the character's Brand plays, that is gonna be hella difficult and hella hilarious. Trailer here.

    2. The weird foreign film

    Wild Grass (June 11)
Yes, this is a foreign language film. Yes, the couples is older. And you should still see it. Girl loses wallet. Boy finds wallet and turns it in. He falls in love with her and keeps trying to get her to met him. Love blossoms. Trailer here.

    3. The New Step Brothers/40 Year Old Virgin

    Cyrus (June 18)
John C. Reilly (Chicago, Step Brothers) starts to date dream girl Marissa Tomei (Alfie), only to find that she has a man in her life-- her son, Jonah Hill. It's going to be painfully awkward and epically hilarious-- just what Reilly and Hill do best. Trailer here.

    4. The movie you have to see for nostalgia and your childhood

    Toy Story 3 (June 18)
Andy is finally going to college (oy) and his toys supposed to go storage, but they are accidentally thrown out. Woody, Buzz, and the crew end up in day care. Do I expect this to be awesome? Not really. I didn't love the second one, but the little kid in me has high hopes! See this for nostalgia. Trailer here.

What movie are you planning to see with your SO this month? Anything you are definitely avoiding?
