Five Things I've Learned in Two Years of Marriage
By Brett at GodlySheepToday marks the second anniversary of mine and Naomi’s wedding. It’s been an amazing two years. In that two years, we’ve moved to another state, took on new jobs, and added a dog to the family. The Five Things I’ve Learned In Two Years of Marriage
1. I don’t know jack - About the time that I got married, I thought I knew everything about Naomi. The more I spend time with her, the more I realize that I don’t know squat. I thought I knew what made her tick. What all she liked (Puppies, elephants, Harry Potter, the color blue), and what she didn’t like (clowns, gory movies, dirty bathrooms). But now I’m realizing just how much more complex women are. (Of course if I already knew everything, it’d be pretty boring.) For me, it’s like trying to know how long I should defrost something in the microwave. I’ll have a rough estimate, but in retrospect, I’m just guessing, hitting buttons in hopes it works out in the end.
