Had I been on top of my Scandalish game, I would have informed you that last Sunday, Mother's Day, was the anniversary of the contraceptive that rocked America... "the pill." Yes, for the past 50 years, women have been preventing pregnancy with those little tiny miracle pills that will treat your acne and increase your bust line just for the hell of it.
But let's not overlook all the other methods of keeping the oven bun-free.
The condom, loathed by men (and women) all over the globe, yet still effective. The elusive diaphragm that has seemed to fallen by the wayside in this day and age. What about the ring? The commercial with the girls in swim caps really sells me every time. And so on and so forth... I actually even heard of people using chicken skin as some sort of barrier method. Talking about eating out.
So tell us, what is your preferred method of pregnancy prevention? And don't you dare saying pulling out.

Keeping mah legs cloooooosed
@lovely077@xanga - haha, same.
@lovely077@xanga - Same! :o
Although I am on the pill, just incase. DON'T TRUST ANYONE EVER.
I keep my pants on. xD
I'm on the pill for hormonal reasons, but I always use a condom if I have sex.
STD free thankyouverymuch!
Already being pregnant. Seriously - you can't GET pregnant if you already are! Ok fine, I like the NuvaRing. I can't remember to take a pill every day (my 7 year old can attest to that!) so the ring is great.
Birth control pills. Allergic to latex and I'm not too fond of the idea of children yet.
Comdom will do, for the most part these legs do stay closed though.
FAM, medication for chronic illness that makes me infertile, and yes, pulling out. Pulling out is effective if done properly (e.g., monogamous relationship with a sexually experienced man who is able to control ejaculation and only when there has been urination and time between ejaculations - do yo' research!). But hubby and I use it in combination with other things. Used to be on the pill but it made my illness worse - I'm overly sensitive to hormones apparently.
Jesus.
Hahaha, I just get a kick out of saying that. Since I didn't do well on the pill, condoms are the preferred method of pregnancy prevention.
the pill
My current contraceptive of choice is not having sex. I use the word 'choice' liberally.

IUD. Its worked so far
The shot (aka, Depo). Once every three months? Yes please. :) Weight gain is the only really unpleasant side effect for me. My husband will be getting a vasectomy in the next year or so, so then we won't have to worry about using anything.
birth control pills and the pull-out method together :] me and my boyfriend are std free so there's no need for condoms
condoms, though I have been keeping my legs closed since boyfriend and I broke up
Just the pill. My fiance and me were virgins when we got together so no STD's to worry about. But my sister and her husband use the pull out and avoid ovulation times method and it has worked for them. But I don't think my fiance could control when honestly. But pulling out seems to work for my sis...and I wish it wouldn't because I want to be an Aunt. Man, I am so selfish.
Babysitting.
Because then I realize how much I don't want kids right now and I keep my legs closed.
IUD.
Where's that birth control pill for men we've been expecting for decades?
@xnotxbeautifulx@xanga - haha i totally agree!
Why does no one use the patch? I'm curious about that.
@Foreverand_Ever@xanga - I wanna look into this. Was it painful?
@Alliebearsies@xanga - Me too.. I'm on the pill but I still use condoms because, if I'm honest, I don't trust either! Haha.. Plus you never know what someone's got.
I hate it when men assume someone's on the pill, or think that because they're on the pill it's absolutely fine not to use a condom - it's NOT.
good old birth control and a little bit of control=pulling out.
if i wanted birth control, pulling out and condoms, i wouldnt have sex in the first place. 100% safe.
@radicalsounds@xanga - Never accounts for precum darlin. ;D Can't control that. I do use the pull-out method also when sometimes things go too fast and condoms are forgotten...but it is a risk I know I'm taking. Even though he is my partner and very in control of ejaculation.
@kaitlyn_anne_g@xanga -
better safe than sorry, plus it could be like a back-up if all the other methods fail
