Drunk Texting
My sister told me a funny story about her friend...let's call her Emily...
Emily is this short, cute fiesty woman who loves to drink beer, is great at playing pool and has an awesome body. Not to mention she's funny, witty and a great person to hang out with. She's a divorced, single mom who, like many women and men out there, would love to be in a beautiful, long lasting relationship. In the meantime, she likes to have fun with my sister.
Meet Wes...Wes is your typical blond haired bombshell (is that even appropriate to call a guy?) who works at a bar and is covered in bad ass tatoos. He's actually good with women in the sense that he can be their friend and not sleep with them, and he isn't gay. He's the perfect guy for my sister to set up with her friends, so she thought she would play match maker and set Wes up with Emily.
When Wes met Emily, a miracle happened - he found her to be quite attractive and the two exchanged phone numbers.
The other night my sister and Emily were at a bar, shooting some pool and drinking beer when, in their drunken state they thought it would be a fantastic idea to invite Wes over. According to my sister, who doesn't remember much, Wes had agreed - via text - to meet them for some drinks. Somehow Emily must have concluded that Wes was taking too much time going over to meet them so she went on a texting frenzy. She text messaged him so much that he never made it to the bar.
The next day my sister decided to investigate and discovered that in between bathroom breaks and beer runs, Emily had text messaged Wes 20 times and left and 3 drunken phone messages. Alas, he is no longer interested.
Of course now Emily is totally embarrassed, my sister is upset that her "job" as a match maker failed and I've got a great story to share with my husband. Thankfully, text messaging wasn't a social norm when I was single, drunk and dating. The only people I drunk text are my husband and my closest girlfriends.

I once proposed to my best friend while drunk texting. That was fantastic the next day.
I think I receive more weird drunk texts though... I once had to explain to my friend's boyfriend how to find his front door in a text message. How he lost it or why he texted me "lost" in his front yard is still a mystery to me.
Er I think it's a little silly when people drunk text/dial for the sake of drunk texting/dialing, literally.
My ex-bf is a sophomore in college and had only drank once before. The next time he got drunk was a couple weeks ago - he called his twin and giggled "I'm DRUNK DIALING youu" which, needless to say, did not impress his twin. Then he called one of our mutual friends that he's obsessed about and mumbled incoherently to her for a minute or so before she realized the call wasn't going anywhere.
Haha, funny story but I felt bad for them!! Drunk txting can never end well :P
I guess I don't really have a story about this... I just turn my phone off if I've had too much.. it's better that way. I've sent some pretty fucktastic text messages when I was half asleep, I can only imagine how much of an epic failure I'd be at drunk texting.
The last time I was really drunk, I ended up not only texting, but repeatedly calling, one of my exes and begging him to come visit me that night. He thought it was hilarious, especially when I started sending him pictures and videos. Me? I was beyond embarrassed when I sobered up and more than relieved when he didn't end up knocking on my door the next day.
Funnily enough, he ended up doing much of the same to me a month later, on his birthday.
i used to do it all the time and drunk calling to my ex when i was still living in california. he would record it or the next day, i'll go thru my phone and see the texts there and think to myself what a fool i was.
Oh I've done this many times. Anyone ever see the show Trailer Park Boys? I've often texted "(Ricky (only I didn't say Ricky, insert friends name here)).....I AM the liquor!" Thankfully nothing too incriminating has ever happened, just ridiculous texting as I am ridiculous in general...

I don't have an stories, but sometimes I text ppl but if they don't text back I like forget about it lol. I called someone once that was funny, I had no filter.
I never drunk text, and that is God honest truth. I ABSOLUTELY hate it. B/c the conversation often times is pointless, not to mention I feel like John Nash trying to decode a cryptic message for the Homeland Security.

all i'm gonna say is..ha-ha!
one time i text this guy- "hey, we need to hang out soon, and by hang out, i mean fuck" i was embarrassed the next day, but he didnt really seem to mind!!! we ended up hooking up at a later time hahahaha
A drunk friend sent me a text message saying, 'Howe, I'm drunk, I'll sleep on the streets...' I was like, 'WTH? I'm not your Howe!' Well, I guess he mistakenly sent it to me because his mind was too clouded with alcohol. Had someone to pick him up after that. T___T
it's a beautiful way of life that will kick you in the balls and cripple you at any given moment. like a beautiful, passionate relationship, drunk texting will bring you both such great joy, and such bitter sorrow.
truth be told, it's a real bitch. really sucky way to ruin things with someone.

Drunk anything is probably a bad idea. That is why you should only drink with friends that have the sense to hide your car keys, and your cellphone until you sober up.

As for my own story, I went on a date with a girl who told me she had depression (on a first date). Then she told me she wasn't over her ex. Then we ended up having a big slagging match in the street. Anyway, I got home and went to bed. Next morning I woke up to find NINE texts. The first one was apologetic but they became more and more psycho as they went on...I wrote a post about it (obviously):

i receive more drunk texts than i send out...usually, when i'm drinking, i try to keep my phone somewhere i can't reach whenever i want throughout the night.
