A girl friend of mine is getting married soon so the bridal group started talking about the bachelorette party. As the discussion was brought up during dinner with her fiance and his groomsmen, they all smirked and knowingly gave each other the eye. We saw the look and told them, no we're not doing the whole stripper bit. Of course, they don't believe us.
Now my friend is a pretty conservative girl and she's said it so many times she's not into that. So here I am in my friends corner, trying to explain to them that guys and girls view going to strip clubs and having strippers grind their crotch into our faces in completely different ways. Whereas guys might like all the boobs and ass and the closer the better action. Most girls (not all) like it when we don't smell their ass hairs. Sure, it may be fun to watch your friend sit on stage and get dick-slapped in the face but it probably won't be so funny if it was you on the receiving end. As one of the loud rambunctious guy starts calling us prude, I had to remind him of the time his girlfriend got yanked on stage by a male stripper and was bumped so hard from behind, she went flying across the stage. As she laid there face down kind of stunned and embarrassed, the male stripper came at her from behind and started ass raping her. It looked like something you see on the Animal Planet. Trust me, it was not pretty but at least it shut that loud guy up.
I don't know who started the tradition but it's safe to say everyone feels differently about it. So if the bride or groom doesn't want to go, should you still make them? Would you want to go to a strip club for your own bachelor or bachelorette party?

Male strippers embarrass me. Like, I'm embarrassed for them, and I honestly am not entertained, or turned on, and they're dogs. I think a great way to 'celebrate' would be zumanity and a dance club aaaaall night long.
no.. id get tickets to an awesome concert then partyyyyyy.
Nah. My husband and I are fine with strip clubs, but we're like um...isn't that really awkward and disrespectful to do right before your wedding?! I just think it's a bizarre tradition.
You should not make the bride/groom go if they don't want to.
I would not want to have a stripper for my party. No thank you. I don't want a dirty stranger grinding on me.my boyfriend and i have agreed if we do get married and have our respective parties, NO stippers. i should be the only one he needs to look at naked, just as he should be my only one.
At my bachlorette party, I want male and female strippers. I also want Carvel's ice cream cake. He can have strippers if he wants.
Actually, I haven't planned it out yet -- I'm single, you see...
If he wants a bachelor party then whatever, I don't care as long as it doesn't take place the day/night before the wedding. I'm iffy towards having my own but I may change my mind. I'm not going to decide until I actually go to one of my girl friend's, then I'll see if it's my cup of tea or whatnot.
whoever the hell came up with that tradition is a dumbass... the whole logic and idea of it is stupid!
im pretty certain that its a womans way of getting back at a man for doing it.
It's disrespectful to do before a wedding, in my opinion. I don't understand it. LOL.
There is a simple solution: don't get married.
p.s. can you tell I'm divorced?
the bride and groom should do what they want for their parties, but your friend is missing out. bring on the naked fellows!
For some reason my sister enjoys going to the strip club with her husband more than her husband...I'm still taking anti-pyschotics for knowing that.
Personally, I'd much prefer the concert and bar.
I don't understand it, I think its pretty disrespectful either way
@EaTxYoUxALivE@xanga - I couldn't agree more.
My hubby and I saw Naked Boys Singing in NYC last year, and there were like three bachelorette parties there on the same night. Certainly some women must like wang in their face, or they showed up at the wrong show.
Ew, I would never go to stripping shit.
male strippers wearing a thong is just hilarious. I'd laugh so hard instead of being turned on
I think a bachelorette party would be fun. I'd want them to sing and dance the typical YMCA song and other funny songs and make it into a comedy type of fun than the dry hump me type of show. then make them dress up in leotards as ballerinas. I want to embarrass the strippers, not the other way around.
i would NEVER go to a strip club and would not appreciate my boyfriend/fiance going either. for me, i don't know what some stripper could have that my man doesn't. cause when you love someone, you think they're wonderful anyway, so a 6-pack wouldn't make me want to have sex with a guy. it's hot, but doesn't sexually arouse me.
no, i think it's so lame to go to a strip club for a bachelorette/bachelor party. i would do something else like go wine tasting or go to a spa instead.
simple...jack and jill party =)
Now I know my man's idea of a Buck's Night is more inclined towards hanging out indoors with the dudes, drinking truckloads of beer/jim bean and watching extreme sports like motorbike stunts, and reminiscing about old times. I haven't actually given it much thought until recently, but I think I like the idea of my Hen's night to be a long session of learning to make various desserts... I mean, man, you get to do something with your girlfriends that you usually don't do and you get to eat the dessert after that too!!
i think bachelor/bachelorette parties should be about what the groom/bride wants. i don't think everyone would want to go to strip clubs. some people might prefer something more low key or just something more classy.
My bf doesn't like the idea, and neither do I. I don't get it. Go out and drink with your friends at a normal bar -.-
@KittySolntsova@xanga - That sounds like a really good idea :D My friends and I all love to cook (a few are in culinary) so maybe even having them teach us little things along the way would be fun! Except my SO would want to be in the hot dessert action too..he's a real foodie XD
