Nick & I were talking about orgasms the other day, & I said that I imagined (since I've never had one) that it was something like a cup filling up with water, & then overflowing. He said that orgasms feel more like a cup filling up with water & then exploding :P.

Replace water with some kind of juice or alcoholic beverage, and the metaphor becomes much better. Water is kind of the Plain Jane of beverages, after all.

I think it just feels like a buildup of tension that eventually explodes.

I don't know if I could describe them. It's like.... this huge build-up of sexual tension releases all at once. The most relaxing and mind-numbing thing possible.
It's kind of like that part in The Beach Boys' "The Little Girl I Once Knew" where the band drops out completely for a few seconds and then continues on faster than before. It's like the stillness in the wind before the hurricane begins. You just stop thinking for a moment, it's a pretty interesting feeling for someone who is constantly thinking.
My ex and I used to compare them to a sneeze the builds up for a few moments before exploding.

It is so hard to describe but so awesome. It's this buildup of pressure that screams to be released until your whole body is straining, and then, BAM. It's like a volcano explodes and sends violent shockwaves through your entire body, repeatedly, like earthquake aftershocks, until you are exhausted, quiet, and filled with euphoria.
And if you are a loud girl like me, the whole process wrings uncontrollable, forceful screams of pleasure from you with each contraction. (That part is a little inconvenient, I'm not gonna lie.)

I have a hard time picturing a cup filling with water and then exploding. That doesn't sound pleasurable.
If I ever achieve the big O, it will probably be shock from having sex with the sexiest man in my mind or a guy I never thought I get or a guy I really really love.
It always feels like a cross between the anticipation of opening presents as a kid mixed with having to pee because someone just punched you as hard as they can in the bladder region as buildup for me.
Then when it happens...it's just like this release of everything, losing control, body shakes and spasms, and sometimes even crying a little while all I can think is "Holy Fuck." Half the time my orgasms force a guy out because my muscles all contract so tightly and forcefully, which just brings a certain sense of satisfaction while I'm screaming.

i think i'd have to go with the volcano analogy someone used before. its like it keeps building up and you know you're getting close and then all the sudden it explodes awesomely and you lose bodily control while feeling unstoppable at the same time. i remember my first orgasm i was screaming some combination of the girl's name and "baby" and my limbs were flying in all directions... too bad it was under a freeway overpass and kinda janky in retrospect.
