Is there a song, a piece of literature, a work of art that puts you into a Valentine mood? Here are some of mine:
Don't you even dare and try to diss me because I love enchanted. It is the single cutest to ever walk this planet. Ok, second to only Amelie, but it's still way too cheek-pinch worthy. Speaking of French stuff (Amelie), I go to my next item on the list...
That is Jacques Brel. He has one of the most romantic voices ever, in the most romantic language ever. I adore French, it's the single language even someone who cannot speak the language can appreciate for its beauty.
Next up is an E-Book. You've all heard of this. Romeo and Juliet. Granted, it's a tragedy. But is still so lovely and speaks of such a deep love makes my insides flutter like a robin in a cage (except it's not all that cruel). And I also have a deep love for Shakespeare. Last up
That is Botticelli's "Birth of Venus". For all those who do not know, Venus is the equivalent to Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love (One's Greek, One's Roman). This painting, at least by my interpretation speaks of the birth of love. An untouchable beauty of divine proportions.
Do you have anything that puts you in the Valentine mood?
For me, family and friends put me in a Valentine's mood. I celebrate love in general on Valentines and every other day.
the song "More Than Words" by Extreme. so freaking amazing. i heard it the other day and it totally put me in the right mood. also, the song "The Trouble With Love Is" by Kelly Clarkson. And Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. if you're stuck, the movie version with Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet, Hugh Grant, and Alan Rickman works in a pinch. :)
@PeriwinkleAdonis@xanga - Remove the datingish part from the beginning. Start from http://many..
@Honey14 - Sense and Sensibility is a great book :)
i'm not quite sure how you define valentine mood, but there's a certain amount of beauty to the pope section of "the red violin"--anyone who's seen the movie hopefully knows what i'm talking about.

The Romeo and Juliet link is broken.
