My girlfriend recently sent me some links to lingerie shops and asked for my opinion. One look at those prices and I had to pick up my eyeballs off the floor and hit reset on my brain in order to answer her.
I can't believe how much lingerie costs especially when there's so little fabric to it. I realize there's a catch 22 here. If you look good in them (turning on your man, when they're on your body less than a minute, getting laid, etc...) then it's worth every penny. If you don't look so good in them, most likely it'll stay on your body for the rest of the night. If that's the case, you just wasted some serious bucks but at least you're still wearing it.
So how important is it to buy sexy lingerie? Or does your SO like you in the buff, no lace, no frills needed?

I'm buying my first set of Sexy Lingerie for My Fiance and I's Honeymoon.
With that said, This will be my first and last Lingerie Shopping experience.
I don't see the point in spending tons of dollars on something you will only wear for a short amount of time.. I'm only getting it for Our Honeymoon as something new and fun to do. :) He will not expect it.
My BF gets annoyed if I spend a lot of money on lingerie (he sees it as an utter waste of money). Especially anything more than a bra and panties. He's not into the garters and stockings and corsets. In a way I wish he was because they seem fun, but he really doesn't care what I wear, as long as I look good in it. I wear sexy stuff more for myself because it's fun. haha.
I love the lacy stuff. Especially in white. Naked is great, but something more subtle is far sexier.

I've asked my boyfriend's opinion on the matter... "isn't naked hotter than lingerie?" answer: no, not always...
still though. I don't have the kind of money for that crap. I once bought a $52 bra from Victoria's Secret and wanted to punch myself in the face.
Well, no matter what I'm wearing, (a bra, sexy lingerie, a Snuggie) will end up getting ripped off in ten seconds flat, so I don't see a lot of merit in spending a lot of money on something that will end up under my bed.
sexy lingerie never lasts very long (on me, or in general, the stuff's too flimsy)
plus my SO never stops molesting me, so i don't think i need it T_T
rarely i'll buy something on sale just for fun...it's kind of like buying a cat toy. you know the cat will only play with it for 15 minutes and then ignore it, but you buy it for those 15 mins

My boyfriend loves it when I dress up like that. I haven't recently since I lost weight and now it just kind of hangs off me! Haha, not so sexy.

The best I can say is that it can be. A woman frosted with something that accents her form is awesome. Yet, it always goes back to being comfortable with their partner and themselves. It is awesome for the guy becuase men are visual and they wouldn't be in a relationship if they didn't want to diddle their other in 1000 different ways. Really what lingerie represents is the sinner part of the woman and being a little naughty minx...what guys doesn't go for that?
I don't think lingerie is sexy, and neither does my boyfriend. We'd both prefer if I dressed in a full outfit, instead. Like a school girl or a maid or something. I think his favorite is when I role play a French exchange student, and he's my American host.
This is how my 5 years of studying French has been put to use.
I think lingerie is fun and good for foreplay, but I really don't understand the whole garters and corset deal. Then again, it is true that you'll be out of it as quickly as you put it on... unless you tease your man for a bit, or something.

you might as become a lingerie designer and sell your own lingerie. at least you'll be paying for your lingerie at cost. actually you'll get free samples instead and you'll just write it off on your company's book.
I don't really get lingerie...pretty bras and underwear yes, but the whole deal seems like a bit much. I can't afford it, and even if I could I don't think I'd wear it. Plus I can never find anything that looks good on me...I think I would feel silly and uncomfortable.
The best place lingerie looks.....on the floor...and if you're working it right, that's where it should end up.
Um, how about bigger girls? Some people I imagine are not comfortable in the buff, no matter what. Corsets and sexy nighties hide the bulge. Lingerie is also like "comfort" clothes for girls, anyway. They either make you feel awesome or they make you feel ridiculous. There's also some people turned on by it, so that's a plus.
I personally think lingerie is adorable. I'd wear it with or without an SO, and the money's worth it for how I feel AND how I look in it.
lingerie just makes me feel good about myself. It doesnt matter if someone is taking it off of me or if I'm just at school in a teeshirt and jeans.
maybe to light a fire in a marriage i guess, but its unnecessary. i see all the poor saps following their wives/girlfriends in Victoria's secret, honestly they cant tell the difference between most of the stuff

I would buy sexy lingerie for a very very special occasion. But for the most part, the guys I know prefer girls in baggy tshirts and panties. They're going to rip them right off anyway..
i was thinking maybe for our anniversary one year dress up as princess leia in gold..... that's pretty much every nerd guys dream, right?
