Keep a good smile on and be polite as all get out. Worked for me every time.
Parents love me. Smile and use your manners. Compliment food they cook or anything they do for you. You can kind of guess what type of parents you're dealing with within 15 minutes. And then you can tell what to say and what not to say from there.
Just don't freak out about it. It's not even a big deal.
Be yourself. Be nice and friendly, smile, say thank you and please. Don't go above and beyond anything you wouldn't normally do, but do everything you can. If you are a genuinely friendly and a good person, they'll like you. If they don't, there's nothing you can do about that.
Being polite, respectful, and generous has always been key for me, regardless if the parent liked me or not. My last gf's mom didnt like me no matter how poised I was, but dont lose that respect...and you'll be fine.
Thanks for the subscription. :] But yeah, just be polte like everyone else said but don't put on an act. Just be who you are.
Be polite. That's about it.
And if you're at your nicest and they still don't like you they probably never will.
Relax, smile, don't just sit and stare, talk, be polite, breathe, be respectful.
As long as you don't bust in cussing and inappropriately dressed (too tight, too baggy, too revealing, dirty, etc), you'll be fine.
be talking and polite. i think those are the two main things to remember.
and let them know how great your SO is:)
Be yourself. Be as polite and respectful as you would be normally.
Be yourself.. And dont do anything stupid..
>Hi.. my name is [insert name].<
BAMF.
Don't talk politics unless you're certain of their viewpoints.
Religion, too.
Not that having ideas is wrong, just keep in mind that you never want to offend and having never met them, you aren't certain how easily they are offended.
Be nice, polite and try to spend a bit of time alone with the mum. And don't wear anything at all that could make you look dirty. Oh, and easy on the make up.

I dressed nice and used a lot of manners to easily win them over
be courteous, you really don't have to say much for parents to like you, its all about the "thanks yous?" and "can i help you with that?" and "dinner was lovely", that draws them in the good old fashioned politeness. I swear by it it works like a charm
there's no real way. some parents have loved me, others hated me..despite the fact I was genuine and polite every time. some you just can't please no matter what. just be yourself, and if they like you, cool. if not..::shrug::
NO cleavage!
ask questions in return!
Be nice and polite...that's about all I can say heh.
Talk about my former sexual conquests, look at the girl's mom and say that I know where she gets her beer gut from now and then laugh to myself while everyone else stares at me in shock, argue politics with her father, and then I hit on her younger sister.
@fatal_mess@xanga - Haha. Correct :)
whatever you do, don't talk in a ditzy way like paris hilton or dress like britney spears.
be cool
i know its cliche, but be yourself. and don't be afraid to joke around a little. i got my ex's family to like me by making a nancy pelosi joke in front of her very conservative grandfather (for the record i'm actually a registered democrat). if you are ingenuine or try too hard it'll either get awkward or they just won't trust you because they'll be able to tell you're putting on a show. so yea, just relax and try to enjoy the occasion.
Be polite, be helpful in the kitchen if the mother is cooking anything, be courteous to the father and discuss whatever's on TV with him.
all you have to do is be yourself.
Offer to help around ;] Like, wash the dishes after family dinner.. Or help fix the car haha ... Or help her younger brother with homework.. etc.
