The Xanga Crush
Yes, I am aware that Datingish has already had a post about this topic over a year ago. But I'm bringing it back up again! And don't give me "Psh, Xanga crush..." attitude that was in many of the comments for the previous post. Cause I know many (of course, not all) of you have a Xanga crush that you're too shy to admit.
What it is:
... A crush you have on a Xangan... Duh. You read their blogsite, you understand each other, or the most popular... you just think they're so dang cute or hot. Pretty self explanatory.
I'm not talking about your boyfriend or girlfriend who happens to have a Xanga, but a crush you developed on a Xangan you met on Xanga.
When I developed a Xanga crush, I told myself, "Are you kidding?! You're crushing on a guy you saw... online... that you've NEVER met before?! Pathetic!"
But I was way wrong. A Xanga crush doesn't have that many differences between a celebrity crush and is not pathetic at all. Except in the Xanga world, you can actually communicate with your crush. If you do so happen to communicate with your celebrity crush... I envy you.
Roadlesstaken's Xanga secrets project also helped me realize, I'm more normal than I thought I was. Who knew so many secrets would be about a Xanga crush and who knew how much it meant to some people?!
So not only am I going to ask who YOUR Xanga crush is, (since many already said who in the post Datingish posted in 2008) but do you think Xanga crushes are normal? Or do you think they're weird?
I'll start: My Xanga crushes are Roadlesstaken, Lil_dude433, (although I don't comment so much on their pages) and JusticeCho (who is pretty conceited so he will find this not surprising at all). And I definitely think it's weird.

Whenever someone makes a vague reference to having a Xanga crush, I assume it's on me. So I'll take this post and @And_I_love@xanga's comment as compliments.

I've heard about this phenomenon, but have yet to experience it. I eagerly await, however.
I have several Xanga crushes, but I've never told anyone who they are. I don't think I ever will.

currently don't have any xanga crushes! whether it's normal or weird, i don't know. do you find it awkward? if you do, then maybe it is.
my xangan crush became my study buddy. then we had a class together. after that, we just started hanging out a lot together on Fridays. it wasn't until about a year and a half did we started going out--I told myself that we'll have to be best of friends before we take the relationship further. we recently got engaged =) all in all, we've known each other for 5 years now. good luck!

I have only one that I can THINK of. But I'm not saying his name because he'll think I'm weird. I've maybe only been to his page once though, but he leaves comments on a lot of Xanga posts and I just love them.. lol

I don't have a Xanga crush. I don't think it's weird either.... but I have definitely made good friends on Xanga that I'd meet up with them any time (if we lived in the same state or country). I don't see how having a Xanga crush would be a bad thing. :O
Yes, I have one! Mr. crystal_air! Not only do I have one on him, he has one on me, and I get to see him in 33 days on March 5th!

I don't think I do, but then agian, I'm not a xanga socialite so to speak. Who knows, I might develop one eventually.
For what it's worth, I think it's perfectly normal. I mean there are a few celebrity crushes running about in my head, so I guess this'd be cool too D:
